If you want to enjoy true High Def quality video - this is it. The material here is fantastic. Audio is also great but not up to par compared to the Picture quality. As for the movie - it is based on real life experience. Very dramatic. Acting is so-so. Overall highly recommended for true High Def enthusiasts.

This is a really interesting movie to keep informed what our military men must sometimes endure for our freedom. Even I was surprised at the brutality of the middle eastern people who supposedly claim peace thru their Muslim teachings. They are almost as bad as the Vietnamese were to us during my war.

I bought this movie because I heard Mark Wahlberg said this was the most important movie he had ever made. For that remark only, I wanted to see the movie. It is truly a really impressive piece of work and a truly brave man he portrays. The story deserves to be told and Mr. Wahlberg does a fine job doing so. That being said, I would give this five stars if it weren't for the bad language used in the movie. I'm aware that this is prevalent is many movies of this type, but I wish it weren't so. It took away from the experience somewhat for me.

My teenage daughter saw Lone Survivor at the movie theater and loved it so much that she recommended we purchase a copy. Of course we went to Best Buy, we purchased the combo package with the blue ray, DVD and digital copy, at a great price! We enjoyed the movie so much that we have watched it twice already.

This is stated to be a true story of some US special forces that had a mission that went wrong. We should all be thankful for men and women that give their lives like this so that the rest of us may live in a free world.

Although this is very sad, considering this technically really happened, it was very moving and beautiful. They stuck together as a team through it all, and the acting was amazing. Also, if Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, & Emile Hirsch in the same movie isn't reason enough, i don't know what is.

I wish every American of appropriate age would watch this. Our Military does so much for us and sacrifice so much for us. (their families included). We have to give them the respect they so greatly deserve, and don't always get. I don't want to do what they do, but I thank them for having the guts to do it.

This movie, by far, is the best wartime movie I have ever seen. Mark Walberg, along with the other cast, are all outstanding! Great action! Great movie portraying what America is all about! No one does it better than our service men!

Being a member of the military I found this to be a very realistic account of actual events it was not over the top the actors did an excellent job in using military lingo Very action packed love the afghan villagers that helped Mark Walberg

I saw this movie in the theaters and absolutely loved it. The picture quality and audio quality will blow your speakers to the back to your wall. I felt it was in the same vein as Black Hawk down, tears of the sun, and acti of valor, all three I love. I'm buying a 4K television can't wait to see it on it.

What a very good movie, was on the edge all the time. How do they do those scenes on falling. Do they use xbox people? Only thing, I wouldn't of been able to watch if one of those boys were mine. Our men sacrifice a lot for us. And sad thing is there is so many people that don't care or even have a clue.

This movie drags you in then just when you think it's about to be a happy ending, your emotions get the best of you by something else occurring. It left me on the edge of my seat and made me feel like I was right there in the fire fight. The graphics were on point, and I wish it went on for another hour.

I think this movie was the best I have seen Mark Wahlberg in. It shows how our troops do bond together like brorhers . This movie makes you feel like you know these men personaly and you can feel what each one is feeling. It also has some funny parts witch is and was at the right time . I love this movie

One of the best movies out there. It makes you appreciate what you have and how those in the military are truly heroes. We will always remember those who have lost their lives. Thank you Marcus Luttrell for telling the story of all of the brave people of Operation Redwing and thank you for your service!

I'm a little late with Mark Wahlberg working with Peter Berg. I saw Deepwater Horizon and Patriots' Day before this movie. My mindset was, since the other two movies were great, I needed to purchase this movie to complete my Peter Berg/Mark Wahlberg collection. It's Blu-Ray, so I'm sure visuals and sound will be top notch. Can't speak on the supplemental material, but I'm sure it will be enlightening. Fact is, I needed this movie to complete my Peter Berg/Mark Wahlberg collection.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you must be living under a rock. It is a fantastic movie with a great story, great writing, great acting and great cinematography. The 4K version is represented very well. The HDR effects are great, not to mention the sound.

This was a phenomenal movie. It set the stage well. It started by showing the terrorist cutting off the head of a Muslim man. Loved the chase scenes with Mark Wahlberg and his companions. Especially loved the villagers coming to his aid and the rescue at the end.

Before this movie, I had no idea to what lengths our troops went to perform their missions. To know that this is an event based on a true story, makes it almost difficult to watch at times. My heart goes out to each and every one of the military families who were affected by these series of events.

As you get to know the close relationships of the guys it helps form the story, however it goes on longer than I would have liked. When the enemy shows up, all hell breaks loose and are relentless in their attacks. The action is visually graphic but not over bearing. I believe it shows the way it was and still is . Films like Apocaypse Now and Platoon tend to amplify the Insanity of war, where as Lone Survivor seems like an accurate portrayal of the middle east. If you like crazy war films try "The Siege Of Firebase Gloria"
