Love this movie and bought it so I can watch it over and over. Can't wait to see and hear the blu ray quality in my home theater.

Enjoyable & engaging .... kept me glued to the television

This is based on the true events that happened to some of our own Navy Seals. It is heartbreaking to see what they endured but it gives us civilians an inside look at just how bad war is and what our amazing troops endure on a daily basis. It will make you understand that they are fighting for our freedom and that they will go to any lengths to protect their own... even the ultimate sacrifice of giving up their lives. Truly one of the best movies I've ever seen.

This one hits really close to home for me since I am in the military myself and the sacrifice these guys laid down for their country is one of the bravest and most selfless things anyone could ever do. It is definitely a tough story to do, but the way Mark Wahlberg and crew did was an outstanding job. Great movie to watch with some for sure tough scenes, but such a good movie that shows the dedication and perseverance so many have for their country and fellow man.

This movie is a tribute to four brave Navy SEALS, Marcus Luttrell, Mike Murphy, Matt Axelson and Danny Dietz. It is about courage and valor under fire and shows the best of our young mens qualities, whether it be war or peace. It was a story that needed to be told. I would advise any American to go out and get this movie and keep it as a reminder of what our fighting men and women do to keep our country safe.

First time I saw thus movie and enjoyed watching.

I watched this movie and it was pretty good with Mark Wahlberg and Taylor Kitsch. Great movie based on a true story about Operation Red Wing dedicated to those brave men.

The story that inspired this movie was told accurately. The story is so compelling that it doesn't need any "help" from Hollywood to make it better. I was happy to see that the story was represented accurately without any cliche Hollywood embellishments. The movie felt very real and the acting was well done. The extras explain how the real life soldier was involved in the production to make sure it was accurate and truly honored those who lost their lives. Happy to have this in my Blu Ray collection.

I wanted to see this movie because of Mark Wahlberg. He is amazing in everything I have seen in him. He did such an amazing job in this movie. After seeing this movie, I wanted to know more about Marcus Lutrell and have bought his book too. I have always been thankful for our men and women in the service, but this movie gave me a whole new type of respect for them. I highly recommend this movie to all adults. I waited for months for it to come out on dvd and bought it the first day it was available.

This is one of my favorite movies! Lone Survivor is one of those movies that every American needs to see to get a glimmer into what our brave men and women have to deal with when put in extreme situations of life or death. Taylor Kitsch, Mark Wahlburg, and the rest of the cast does such a fantastic job in making it feel like you know these guys and your gut wrenches when the fighting starts. All in all, Pete Berg did an awesome job in bringing this tradgic yet heroic story come to life.

I am glad that a soldier had the courage to write this book and that a director had the courage to bring the book to film. It portrayed the bravery that these group of men had in the face of upmost danger. The actors cast embodied the men to an absolute caliber that cannot be replicated by any other group of actors. They took the time to meet with the families to ensure that they could bring their sons' sacrifices to the world audience. One of the best war movies that I have ever seen.

This is a true story about a four-man Navy SEAL team’s mission to kill a Taliban leader in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, they were discovered by the locals and had to abort the mission. During their retreat, everything that could go wrong went wrong. In the end, only one member of the team survived. It was an interesting and exiting movie of what is probably a typical mission for Navy SEALs. Never a dull moment!

Respect is what you will walk away with for these Navy Seals after you watch this film. It is an accurate reenactment of what they went through according to Marcus Latrell. Watch the extras...they have interviews with Marcus and it shows him helping to train the actors for the film. I am proud to have served our country for 13 years in the Army and I am proud that we have the bravest people in uniform such as the Seals that were depicted in this film. Read the book as well.

I read the book first and found it to be an amazing story. It was the kind of book that you can't put down until you are finished, and want to just read it again. Then the movie came out and I wasn't sure if Hollywood could get it "right." But they did. And the bonus features with the comments by the parents of the soldiers who were killed, told how much the acting made them see their sons in the movie. If they were satisfied, I think anyone will be satisfied. A MUST SEE!

Excellent movie to watch and to have in collection. Outstanding acting and performance. The quality of the HD picture was great and is the first Movie that I actually enjoyed listening in a 7.2 surround sound it was amazing, shooting scenes make you feel in the action, you can actually hear the shoots sound coming from every speakers even the falling rocks after explosions honestly outstanding. To all our heroes who put their lives on the line to keep us safe, Thank you.
