Lone Survivor is a rare instance where a motivational "you can do it" theme did not come across as cliche or corny. This movie delivers gut punching drama and lots of intense action. After the final scene of the movie I felt inspired and energized, even after watching it more than once.

If looked at strictly from a movie standpoint, it was great...just the subject matter makes it a hard movie to swallow, knowing we have soldiers in those kind of situations all the time....and as shown here, some don't make it home

Lone Survivor is a great film for Colorado residents as the story includes local, Danny Dietz, to whom a local highway is dedicated following his death in the conflict portrayed in the film. Lots of action, a fair amount of blood and gore, some language - not for the squeamish, but very good.

I bought this as a Christmas gift. Best Buy had a better price than I could find anywhere else so it was a good bargain. My son was really happy to receive this as it was on his Christmas wish list.

I don't know how close to the true story this comes but it was certainly entertaining. The hardships the men face are insurmountable and yet there is a survivor. If you enjoy war films or action films this one should be on your purchase list, not just watch list. So go get this movie already.

Great movie! Definitely up there with Saving Private Ryan. I think the best part of this movie is that it is based on someone's actual struggle to survive after losing his team mates/ best friends. It makes the movie more personal, and opens your eyes to what our forces really have to endure.

Great movie about the commarderie and daily lives of soliders in Afghanistan. Movie feels true-to-live, as it was based on a soldier's real-life experience. Not as much blood/gore as other war movies in case you're sensitive. Good present for Father's Day or for that special guy in your life.

This was a great movie, kept us on the edge of out seats. Unfortunate that it was based on true events we were upset to see what our soldiers have to go through put up with. This is one for everyone to watch, another eye opener.

Lone Survivor is a tear jerking war movie that is difficult to watch twice. Of course it is difficult to put what these men lived through on screen, but the producers have executed. This movie will leave you feeling somber. It is important to see what our finest American forces have endured.

This is one of my top 5 movies of all time. Everything about the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is not the typical hollywood garbage. If you enjoy war movies and you haven't watched this yet, you are missing out. The fact it is based on a true story makes it that much better.

Great movie. Reminded of when I served in the Military. Gave Blu-ray to my kids and was able to upgrade my HD digital library to 4K UHD.

If you ever wanted to see a glimpse into what our military brothers go through to keep our freedom, this movie is it! Loaded with action, and based on a true story, makes this definitely a must see, but easily a must own!!!

Lets get one thing straight; books are always better. This is no exception. Watch the movie first then read the book so the small differences won't ruin the movie for you. I read the book first and was very excited for the movie. It didn't disappoint me but some people expect them both to be the exact same. It is as close to what happened in the book as can be... for a Hollywood production. The fact that Marcus Luttrell was involved in making the movie and it was good enough for him, is good enough for me.

This is an excellent, realistic movie. Not he usual action movie where the good guys hit the bad guys with every shot and the bad guys all miss. The viewer is drawn into the motions of the moment and leaves with an appreciation for the sacrifices, strength & dedication of our servicemen.

This is a must have if you like war movies. It's based on a true story. These guys have to make a major decision. Whatever they chose will set off a chain of events either way. When you're done you will appreciate our soldiers more than you do now. Excellent movie

I'm a big war movie fan and for me this is one of the best if not the best war movie. Story is so encouraging and very touching, superb acting by the whole cast and cinematography at it's best. I highly recommend this movie.

I Was In Air Force Special Operations For Twenty Years. I Was at Bagram When This Happened. I Am Somewhat BIased. That Being Said, ThisWas A Fantastic Action Movie. Good representation Of The Events. the Interaction With Actual Military Forces, the Equipment And The Locales Are Spot On.

A.solid movie with a moving story.about actual events that unfold to us about soldiers we come to relate to. The acting is solid as well as the pacing. I could have done without the bookend beginning and ending. If the the events unfolded more natural in the narrative, it would have been a great movie as opposed to a good movie. Mark walhberg is still playing the same character he does in any other movie, if anything the lead should have been a stronger actor to elevate this movie to something better.

My review of this movie is it is a great movie that accurately depicts true accounts of the SEAL team it follows. My review of the vest buy I purchased the movie from is good. It was adequately stocked with the movie I wanted and the service was good when I went to purchase the movie.

It's a great movie in general and a must have in any collection it's sad to know this is Based on a True Story but it will make you respect our troops so much more after watching it and some of the money from it goes to a great cause what are you doing still reading this go get it now
