This movie is all around great! I loved every minute of it. The picture quality is great! I would recommend anybody to get this movie on 4k. It is worth the price for sure!!!

Excellent film. This was well-casted, well-scripted, and well-shot. The extras on the Blu-Ray are a bit lacking, but the film itself is fantastic. **Trigger warning** Anyone who's been in war (or any extremely violent situation) may have trouble watching some of the scenes.

This isn't the type of movie you watch for award-winning performances or a plot that leaves you scratching your head - and that's a good thing. It was well-filmed, the action is cliche edge-of-your-seat and will look great on your home theater setup.

Filmed in the Sandia & Sangre De Christo Mtns. near Santa Fe, NM, this film is based on the book of the same name. It is an incredible true life event of courage in the face of overwhelming odds. Definitely worth getting this DVD through BestBuy, to add to your collection.

I read the book, Lone Survivor, and this movie does an amazing job of conveying the real life situation that occurred during Operation Red Wings. The movie was just as good as the book and it makes you appreciate the bravery of our men and women in uniform. Prepare to cry.

well developed storyline and film angles and action sequences are well thought out. a gripping story and characters draw you in. I have to say thanks to all those who wear the uniform of our great country.

An amazing inspirational movie that emphasizes the heroism and honor our armed services face in the presence of evil. I reccomend this movie to anyone who wants to be educated as well as inspired from out armed service members and the ultimate sacrifice they could endure.

Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise with this Peter Berg directed movie. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster, this story of survival is gruesome in it's depiction of a very bad day in the lives of this Seal Team 10. The way it was shot and the depiction of their demise is taken to 11. Rarely do you feel such tension over the course of the entire film but this one certainly fills you with dread and sadness by it's conclusion. Worth watching for sure!

If you're unfamiliar with the actual accounts of Operation Red Wings, the movie might seem pretty far fetched and melodramatic at times. If you however have read about the operation or Marcus Luttrell's recounting of it, the movie will be a shiny but gritty, flashy and sentimental action movie in which you already know everything that's going to happen. If you really like movies, explosions, gun battles etc etc, you will enjoy this movie whether you already know the story or not.

While the movie itself is very good with action, drama and insights, it's the background and more detailed information in the extras that set this apart. It provides you just an inkling of what it takes to be a Seal and the bond with his fellow soldiers.....very powerful

The 1080P version of this movie is great! The only thing this 4k upgrade gives you is clear action scenes. Don't get me wrong, it's really clear but it wasn't a huge leap from the 1080P version

Great movie from start to finish. Sound engineering is great for home theater. Very distinct separation of sounds in action scenes really helps pull you in. Extras were very informative and well worth the time. All the actors seemed to be really invested in their rolls.

This movie at times is sad but to die an American hero is awesome. I highly recomend buying this movie to improove your modern millitary action collection. Great cast heroic plot dramatic action why not. Plus as always best buy has all the new release blu-rays on sale.

Excellent portrayal of the real events that happened during Operation RedWing. This movie is a reminder to those of us to who sit at home who reap the benefits from courageous acts of brave soldiers on foreign soil protecting us from cowardliness acts of terrorism.

I liked this movie because I was in the military in Afghanistan at the beginning of the war right after 911 we were on bin Laden's trail up the kushku mountains but we were told to hold off so I know this is a great movie alot of great action and character development.

This is a great movie about a real event. While the movie may not line up exactly to the book that was written about this event it is still a great movie. I love action movies on Blu-Ray so that is a must. This movie does not disappoint if you like this kind of movie.

Lone Survior is a must see. It is close to the true story. A little Hollywood for why I do not know. An inside look at what out bravest fighting men go thru. Plenty of action and heroism. An insight into the heart of these brave men , there sacrifices and brotherhood.

this is got to be the best movie of the year. a lot of good actors. get your popcorn and sit down and watch an excellent movie, you will not be disappointed. the most realistic movie i have ever seen. my not want to little kids watch the movie on the realistic action.

A good protrail of our US SPECIAL FORCES and the job they do even when facing insurmountable odds. The story gave a great view of how our miltary responds when our soliders are in danger and ther fiercenes in protecting them to get them back home alive. A great movie.

I like Mark Wahlberg movies and this was a good movie about Navy Seals that stuck together and helped each other no matter what and a good depiction of how not all Afghanistan people hate Americans and what they did to help them shows they are against the Taliban too.
