Watching the original TV series of Lost in Space is humorous and enjoyable. Very good adapting it to DVDs.

This DVD set is fantastic. There aren't many special features (although the original pilot included is pretty great - a pre-Dr. Smith show), but the restoration is excellent, particularly when the show went from black & white to color in its second season. It's also fascinating to watch how Jonathan Harris became the clear star of the show by the fifth or sixth episode, and how the Will/Robot relationship grew. A couple of the shows are good sci-fi; but most are showcases for Jonathan Harris's wily, deceitful, self-serving and hysterically funny Dr. Smith. I haven't seen these since I was a kid, but so many episodes stuck in my mind. If you're a person of a "certain age," i.e., baby boomer, you'll love this wildly creative and entertaining show.

Even though this series was before I was born, it brings back memories as a kid of watching re-runs. It's amazing how cheesy the special effects are, but still can't stop watching it!

I've always been a sucker for old TV shows, so I was excited to get Lost in Space: The Complete Serice on DVD. The transfer quality of the shows from TV to DVD is pretty good. In addition to all 83 episodes of the series, there are some neat special features, such as the original unaired pilot, TV promos, and the 1998 Lost in Space reunion special. Plus, who doesn't love the evil Dr. Smith and the lovable Robby the Robot (or as he's known in this series, "Robot B9"!
