    I thought about ordering a replacement filter from Amazon, but I didn't want an off-brand that only filters for taste (NSF/ANSI 42), and I was worried about getting a counterfeit even if trying to order the real thing. This genuine LG filter is rated to filter out over 50 health-related contaminants, including lead, plus some pesticides and other bad stuff (NSF/ANSI 53 and 401). Mine came in a retail blister pack. Is it still too expensive? Probably. Auto-ship helps with the price some. But you are actually paying for quality.
