How do I know they work just as well, my LG refrigerator is a smart refrigerator and each month it tells me how well my filters are working. Not that they are NOT approved LG ones. While I will still recommend these, I feel that quick search on another major website, you will find much less expensive filters that work absolutely as well as the LG version.

For this model, one helpful step is to ensure the filter is installed correctly and fully seated in the housing. If it’s not locked in place, water may bypass the filter and reduce effectiveness. Also, replacing the filter every 6 months (or sooner if water quality is poor) helps maintain performance. Running 2–3 gallons of water through the dispenser after installation can flush out carbon particles and improve taste.
