    My fridge light to change filter still comes.

    The change filter light on the fridge still comes on at times even though I’ve put in the new filter.

    Its always such a pain to switch out. Not sure if its a faulty product or if its user error. This happens almost every time it needs to be changed out

      If you're noticing an unpleasant taste, we recommend flushing the filter by dispensing at least 2.5 gallons of water (about 5 minutes of continuous flow) after installation. This helps remove any trapped air or loose carbon particles that can affect taste. Also, make sure the filter is properly seated in the compartment to ensure full flow-through.

    Price increased 25% since last automatic order. The filter is good. Best Buy might have lost my business.

    Can not cancel the subscriptions on this product.

    I had a subscription 2 or 3 years ago. Now, I can no longer cancel it. Best Buy keeps shipping and charging me for the product. But I can not see it under Managing the Subscription. I contacted the support via online support; the service said they did not see a subscription. Even though BestBuy sent me a notification on 12/03/2023 at 2:00 am there will be a shipment and charge on 12/04/2023. Clearly, it is in the system. Not sure what to do.

    Filter does not fit in refrigerator as stated. Has same number on old filter, but new one is different configuration. Wouldn’t snap into place and kept popping off creating a mess with water. Tried 3 times, got frustrated and threw it away and reinstalled old one. Looked online and some people have modified it to work. My advice is to get an LG rep to take responsibility and pay to have it installed.

    Water tastes nasty.

    I've done what the manufacturer calls for when replacing the filter and cycling water, but the water tastes terrible. This is the second filter I've had and the first was even worse. I shouldn't have to filter the filter water to be able to drink it. I wished now that I never got this feature.

    Faulty and had to return. Best Buy replaced with another. Works fine new. Stand by LG products.

    I honestly don't know if it's the filter or I'm just entirely unlucky when it comes to this particular filter but I've been through a handful of them now and the water that comes out of my fridge is absolutely awful. Like, I won't even fill my dogs bowls with it because it's that horrible. The fridge is top of the line LG so I'm going out on a limb to say it's not the fridge so I'm chalking it up to the filter. I purchased a physical water filter that I sit on my counter top because this filter drove me to it. Would definitely not recommend based on my experience. Cheaper alternative would be sipping water out of the toilet.

    TERRIBLE! I AM SO SORRY I SIGNED UP FOR AUTOSHIP. WHY WOULD THEY RETURN THE FILETER WHEN NO ONE COULD SIGN FOR IT????? NOW I CAN'T GET SOMEONE TO HELP ME IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TO RESEND IT AND TO MAKE CHANGE TO AUTOSHIP TO LEAVE IT IF WE ARE NOT HOME TO SIGN FOR IT AND FUTURE SHIPMENTS. I WILL BE CANCELING MY AUTOSHIP IF I CAN EVER GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

    To expensive $50 didn’t expect to pay so much. And in my case it didn’t help with the bad taste of the water. Went through 2 filters to try to get rid of the bad taste of the water. Having LG tech coming. To check in out.

    Sent wrong filter.

    The filter was sent quickly. However, even though it was a “6”, the serial number was the wrong one. I took it to the Valpo store and they did the exchange for me.

    Water filter doesn't do the intended job.

    It doesn't work. The water tastes as if it came straight from the faucet and we've ran gallons of water through the filter. The literature that came with the filter said 2 and 1/2 gallons. We are bringing the filter back to Best Buy for a replacement.

    Hard to remove

    I can’t give an honest review because I can’t remove the filter in the fridge. Each time I try to remove it, parts of the unit it is in comes apart. Went to store for help on how to remove it, they showed me & that didn’t work for me.

    Bad Filter

    Filter was not good. Water tasted bad. This was first change after having refrigerator for 6 months and changing for first time. Best buy would not replace filter. Had to work with LG who also did not make it easy. Took months of calling and then requesting that I change water line and call plumber. In the end it was a bad filter that was sent.
