    Sent wrong filter.

    The filter was sent quickly. However, even though it was a “6”, the serial number was the wrong one. I took it to the Valpo store and they did the exchange for me.

    Hard to remove

    I can’t give an honest review because I can’t remove the filter in the fridge. Each time I try to remove it, parts of the unit it is in comes apart. Went to store for help on how to remove it, they showed me & that didn’t work for me.

    Water filter doesn't do the intended job.

    It doesn't work. The water tastes as if it came straight from the faucet and we've ran gallons of water through the filter. The literature that came with the filter said 2 and 1/2 gallons. We are bringing the filter back to Best Buy for a replacement.

    Bad Filter

    Filter was not good. Water tasted bad. This was first change after having refrigerator for 6 months and changing for first time. Best buy would not replace filter. Had to work with LG who also did not make it easy. Took months of calling and then requesting that I change water line and call plumber. In the end it was a bad filter that was sent.

    I had trouble with it fitting, I bought the same Model # from somewhere else and it work. I am not blaming BB, whoever made the filter was the culprit. Be sure to keep the receipt.

    Filter Works. Refrigerator Fitting Does Not.

    Filter is fine; however, I needed to have a Best Buy technician install due to a manufacturing defect with my refrigerator. Overall cost me close to $400 to get fixed because LG wouldn't correct. Very disappointed with LG.

    It does not seemed to have improved the taste of our water. We have followed all directions about running several gallons of water through the system. We are not sure why but we are not happy.

    Will not work with they frig even though it is the one that is suppose to work. Exchanged it for another that also did not work. They must have changed the design, Cancelled my subscription and no longer have filtered water from the frig. Very disappointing. Very poor product.

    Way too expensive.

    These are the only filters I buy for my fridge but they are way too expensive. I try to buy them when they go on sale in 3 packs as you usually get 1 for free.

    Defective water filter

    Filter did not work. After flushing more than 3 gallons. Water still has nasty chlorine/ chemical smell and taste. Had it for less than 2 weeks. Attempt to return to BestBuy, called the store explained and ask if can return. Rep on phone said Yes, just bring in receipt. Went the same day to return was told cannot return this open item after talking to a rep beforehand.

    Bad filter

    Purchased the LG water filter about a month or so ago. From the install the water had a horrible smell and taste. Flushed about 8-10 gallons thru to try and flush away the bad smell and taste to no avail. Put in old filter again and this took care of the problem. I will try another LG filter from BB to see if I get another bad one. Never had a problem before.

    I've waited in the car for 25 minutes for pick up but they never bring my item out so I have to go in the store to pick it up. Poor service.

    Boo on LG - Design Changed, but Same Model Number

    This is the exact same model number we used last time, and it won't fit. Noticed some minor changes that LG made to the nozzle end. Bottom line though, LG broke their design so it won't go into our fridge any longer. The previous filter went right back in, no problem, so it's not the fridge. On top of all that, Best Buy won't let us return it now. Who gives you only a 23 day return period?? Looking for a 3rd party filter now.

    I was enrolled in easy replenish program for over a year in order to keep filter available when needed. Last filter I received was in June. I replaced is about a month ago and my water started testing very bad. Maybe this was a duplicate or defective filter. Now I can’t get replacement because it’s more than 45 days since it was delivered. BestBuy doesn’t stand behind the product they sell like Amazon.

    Not sure about these filters. Replaced in December and water is already at a trickle. I expect a filter to last 6 months, not 2

    Chemical smell n taste from water filter

    I bought this water filter on January 2021,but this time i can taste chemical something with strong smell until today April24th 2021 unusally. I can tolerate this taste any more,could u give me explanation for that. Im scarry now to purchase this filter from best buy.

    Stuck with them until I get rid of my fridge

    These used to be great but if you have this type of fridge you are stuck with them. We do not use the water as black particles come out of these filters even after the prime you need to do. The water tastes worse than the tap. And we do not drink tap water. But, they used to be great but not any longer.
