    Chemical smell n taste from water filter

    I bought this water filter on January 2021,but this time i can taste chemical something with strong smell until today April24th 2021 unusally. I can tolerate this taste any more,could u give me explanation for that. Im scarry now to purchase this filter from best buy.

    Don't buy this from best buy, they delivered it from the store opened and used and told me I'm out of luck

    Stuck with them until I get rid of my fridge

    These used to be great but if you have this type of fridge you are stuck with them. We do not use the water as black particles come out of these filters even after the prime you need to do. The water tastes worse than the tap. And we do not drink tap water. But, they used to be great but not any longer.

    Delivered in Very Poor Condition

    Ordered two of these filters from Best Buy online for a new fridge. One of the filters arrived in a distressed plastic clam case with cracks, scuffs, and some sort of food residue. A big yellow sticker indicated that it was supposed to be on a service truck, presumably as a spare part. I has been treated very roughly and looks like something from a garage sale.

    I have asked for a review of my Total Tech Support

    It appears that my household. my account and and account in my wife's name "Total Tech Support" are two accounts that were paid for by mistake. I have asked for a review of this and if it is as I suspect I am asking to have my account to be extended by virtue of the over payment and my wife.s account be consolidated into my account . Please advise accordingly.

    Undrinkable chlorine taste after last change

    Water is extremely chlorinated with this filter change. Undrinkable. Have been subscribing to this same filter for several years. This is the first time this has happened. Returning it.

    CANCEL This subscription. I have been trying to cancel and or change this subscription for the last 31 days. The refrigerator filter is only required to be changed every 6 months so why do you send me one every month.

    Flushed 3 gallons upon install, and water tasted horrible. No one in my family would drink it. Not so much right after you dispense it, but after the water settled (5-10 minutes), you could smell and taste that something wasn't right. Previous filter was fine, and refrigerator is only 15 months old.

    We had difficulty when we received our refrigerator with the taste of the water. We tried a different filter, but it didn’t make a difference. The water still had an after taste. Went directly to LG and they sent us a new filter and now everything is fine.

    The came damaged and Best Buy wouldn’t accept an exchange because it was opened. I now will only order from Amazon because they will exchange no matter what - or order direct form manufacturer. Second time this happened.

    I don’t know if I have a bad filter but it taste like chemicals! We followed all of the directions to a t but nothing seems to help! It makes me sick. We have wasted money and now we only rely on the filtered water in my kitchen sink and bottles of water. I’m so dissatisfied.

    LG frig filter replacement

    Bought new filter after 6 months, now cannot even drink the water. LG Frig is 8 months old. Ice cubes are just as bad. Tastes like plastic. Awaiting resolution from company.

      Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. For the LG Water Filter. If water is tasting bad and the filter has already been replaced. Chances are it could be your water supply. There could be hard water in your area or it could be from a faulty water line. Mold, bacteria or mineral buildup could be in the water line or supply. Use a funnel to run vinegar through the water lines to the ice maker, and run vinegar through the water dispenser, as well. Make sure to have a container ready to catch the vinegar so you can discard it. Next, run clean water through the water lines for a few minutes, then reassemble the housing. If you have exhausted these method and water still seems to taste funny. We recommend you contact our LG Support Team.     It took 3 employees from Best Buy to install it in my refrigerator. Reviews on line showed many other people have a problem installing this product.

    This filter didn’t last for more than a month before the water and ice tasted like metal. Disappointed in the quality of the product and Best Buy’s return policy.

    Bad Filter

    I bought this filter in March and within two months the water had a bad taste two it. These are suppose to last 6 months. I did not have the same issue before when I replaced my filter. There must be a quality issue with this one.
