    I know that I can buy an off brand and I did, but it didn't last as long nor does it fit as well as the LG. I will never buy another off brand again.

    If you have an LG refrigerator, you will need to replace these as they clog from use and your water output will slow to a trickle.

    It was a bit tricky at first learning how to install the water filter. Plus it was a bit tricky getting the light warning of the need for a replacement to go off. Other than this, it went well.

    Easy to install but for $60.00 dollars every 90 days is crazy. I wish I would have known that before I bought the refrigerator
