    We made the mistake of buying the 3rd party "off brand" filter and it leaked everywhere. The problem is, it didn't leak right away and our condo is 2 hours from home so it turned into a 4 hour (round trip) ordeal to swap out a $30 dollar filter. Never had an issue with the genuine ones and they seem to last longer as well.

    We live in an area where the lakes "turn" when the weather changes twice a year & lasts for several weeks or months. The water is safe but the algae taste is horrid. This filter takes the smell & taste completely away. We drink a lot of water & don't like putting plastic in the environment so this is a much more eco friendly choice. We highly recommend it.

    Easiest filter on a refrigerator that I’ve ever changed out. My old fridge the filter was at the very bottom and I had to use channel locks to remove the cover. This one just slips right into the slot and 1/2 a turn and I’m done.
