Sleek glasses with subtle speaker design. I have Bose Frames also and those sound better but are bulkier. The Lucid are slimmer and look more fashionable but audio is not as good as the Bose.

FINALLY Smartglasses that look like Sunglasses

Come to the Darkside with Lucyd Lyte! These glasses are a step in the right direction for an industry ripe for innovation. These are for you if you are an early adopter and like to have new tech. The eyewear industry should take notes and improve smart frames starting with this form factor. FINALLY, a company produced STYLISH smart glasses that look like sunglasses! There isn’t a weird frame to wear with unusually thick or weird-shaped arms; everything looks good and is designed well. In short, my Raybans have been retired and maybe for a while. Don’t even get me started about the cool folding case Lucyd provides! After unboxing, you will get a soft sleeve case, hard collapsable case, charger, and glasses… yes, they provide a CHARGING BLOCK! Press the two buttons until you hear power on, look for Lucyd Lyte in Bluetooth settings to connect, and that’s it. I have the Red/Gold mirror lenses, and they are FIRE! There is nothing like walking in the park and listening to a book or music WHILE STILL hearing the world around me without earbuds! THESE ARE NOT going to REPLACE earbuds but instead offer another option to those who may not like having something in their ears or like to have cool tech to talk about. Again I say - these are NOT earbud replacements. However, these ARE another option! I will review these as two things - sunglasses and Bluetooth speakers. As Sunglasses As sunglasses, these are built solid and flexible. They offer quality Polarized UV400 protection, which allows me to see the world through hi-def vivid lenses while protecting my eyes from harmful UV and glare-free glass and water. I think the lenses are plastic, but I cannot be sure. Colors pop, and things look clean! Both reflections and glare are eliminated almost entirely depending on the angle you look at things. These are just so cool, and I like having them in my wardrobe. My Raybans have been on the bench since these have entered the picture; that’s saying SOMETHING! The optics are that good, and the extra functionality built-in the frames will make you grab these every time! The customizability is endless, and ease of use when changing lenses makes these a no-brainer. You can even get prescription lenses with transitions to make these your daily drivers! The frame is strong, light, and flexible to withstand falling asleep in them every once in a while. You don’t need to charge these for them to be sunglasses! HA! As Bluetooth As a Bluetooth device, the best way to describe my experience with wearing these glasses is to remember the sound of small low speakerphones next to BOTH ears. The Bluetooth range is exceptional and never dropped or had connectivity issues. The sound is tiny and not all sounds are accurately reproduced. I love having the ability to listen without having to remember earbuds because I DO NOT forget my shades when I am leaving. You will not feel as connected to the music, but you can enjoy yourself. I recommend audiobooks, podcasts, and some music when in a pinch, but I still find myself grabbing earbuds when I want to jam out! Lows and mids are almost nonexistent in an accurate representation and often reproduced as annoying clicks and taps. One thing to remember is people can hear what you are listening to and can hear conversation depending on how close you are - just like when you talk on your cell. Due to the design and method of sound delivery, it will not change, so don’t complain! I am sure the sound quality will improve as Lucyd makes newer glasses, but these are a cool. I hope Lucyd continues to evolve with better sound in time. The aesthetics are perfect, but the sound department needs to find a way to get better sound reproduction in lows and mids as you can only hear annoying pops and clicks in place of bass. As a calling device, I describe the sound like a small speakerphone for both ears with excellent battery life. I make it through one day outside, listening to music and podcasts, or a little over two days at work. My callers said they didn’t even know I was talking on Bluetooth but mentioned background noise. I don’t see many mics to use for noise canceling, but it shines replicating voices, and you can hear them clearly. My favorite uses are phone calls and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Using the buttons to interact with the glasses isn’t pleasing to the touch and feels like a little pen tip when you press them. As a result, I chose to use my phone for the controls. Having glasses on my face with a mic means using more Voice Commands while getting fewer errors because the mic is closer to your face. Below is a shortlist for you to consider. NOT SO GREAT Buttons are too pointy and uncomfortable Pairing to only one device No App or way to update firmware Charging connectors are annoying and pop off with little movement Glasses or plastic lenses? My guess is plastic but not where it is clearly stated. PROS +Battery life - easily made it through 2.5 days of work (approx. 3hrs talking daily) +Easier to use Voice Commands +Foldable case +Look like Sunglasses +Solid build +Auto Off after 5 mins. with no connection WISH LIST App Better sound Customizable button functions Swipe/tap functionality in addition to a button Add dedicated voice assistant button Multi-Device Simultaneous Connections VERDICT Get them if you are looking for Raybans or any other sunglasses in the sub $200 range. They are excellent sunglasses that happen to have speakers and allow you to take calls… much like a smartwatch upgraded a device that used just to tell time. I can’t wait to see where tech goes next with the eyewear category. Remember these are not going to replace a Bluetooth IN-EAR device so remember that too.

These Lucyd sunglasses take on a new level. Out of the box, you will notice some very stylish sunglasses, a charger, a foldable carry case, a wipe cloth, and some papers for touch controls guide, and a social media share note. These Lucyd Lyte sunglasses are a medium weight, but they feel good on the ears and aren't overbearing. The frames are rigid and don't flex. The arms house the bluetooth and speakers, but are thick and sturdy. All in a good way. The glasses feel natural on my face, and I wouldn't even know there were bluetooth speakers on my ears if no one told me. The lenses are a good shade but are not polarized. They do a good job in the sunlight and feel good on the eyes. These sunglasses definitely have quality in mind. Each arm has its own connection pad for the charger. The charger splits and connects magnetically to each arm for charging. When the charger disconnects, the speakera automatically turn on. There is a power button on each arm to turn on or off, or activate the touch controls. Charging takes a few hours, but has a very long play time. My longest session with them playing music was just over 6 hours. The speaker and sound quality is basic, as it is hard to ask for a lot of something that doesn't fit in your ear, and has to play out of the arm of a sunglass frame. There is almost no bass, but the volume does get fairly loud. Depending in the activity though, it could easily get drowned out. The limited side of these glasses is the things you can do with them, as far as playing audio or taking phone calls. One point of bluetooth and ear buds is having the privacy of listening to what you want or having conversations that others can't overhear. That is not these. All audio is very noticable to anyone in the area. If you need privacy, these are not for you. They do work great for bike rides, or walking, or any kind of isolated excersizing, or any activity you need sunglasses but are not around a lot of people. That being said, they still function great as regular sunglasses and look and feel really good. Overall, definitely worth grabbing if you like earbud free, wireless music , and don't mind all your audio hearable to anyone around you. Would be better if lenses were polarized, but they still work great.

These sunglasses are very light, and the lenses are amazing! For being a set of good-looking sunglasses, they are awesome, and the lenses seem to cut the haze out of the sky. In addition, they work great for calls and listening to music on the go but there are some things to keep in mind.. the audio is decent with no distortion, but they are by no means loud. If there's any wind that even that isn't great and no one can hear you on calls if there is a breeze. For the most part, at low volume others around shouldn't hear much but can hear what you are hearing if they are close to you. There's also no bass, in fact, my phone has better speakers for listening to music than these do. I would recommend them if you're buying them for the purpose of having a nice pair of sunglasses that happen to have audio built-in for taking calls. For that they are good but if you're looking for them to also have great audio for hours of listening and taking calls, I'd say it very much depends on how you are going to use them. If there's any wind that even that isn't great and no one can hear you on calls if there is a breeze. Buy them because of how they look and how light they are with the Bluetooth being a nice add on and you should be happy. If you're getting them just for the ability to listen to music or calls you may be disappointed with them if that's your sole reason in getting these. For sunglasses, I give em 5 stars and for bluetooth ability I give them one star. I would recommend depending on how you'd use them.

I think that these sunglasses are very stylish and are very cool. They feel super high quality and I really enjoy the way they look and feel. They are easy to pair and I even used them right out of the box without needing instructions. I did use the instructions to figure out the exact functions of the buttons. Once I was all setup I began to paly some music on them. My first impressions of the sound quality was that it felt like I was wearing headphones that were not seated correctly on my ears. The sound is a bit muffled and not very clear. I then cupped my hands over my ears and was able to get a much better sound. I believe the sound it produces is supposed to be some type of induction, but I am not 100% positive. It does leave a little to be desired. I turned up the volume and it did sound a little better, but then everyone around me could clearly hear the music. I am not sure how I feel about that. I imagine that if I wear these in public that I will not be listening to anything offensive, just out of courtesy. I did however find them very useful for taking or making a phone call. The person I talk to hears me very loud and clear and I could hear them perfectly as well. The battery life is very good and I imagine that you can use them at an all day event if at a reasonable volume. I think they would have benefitted from a charging case that can charge them while they are stored. It comes with a collapsible case and it is pretty nice, but does not charge the unit. The charging cable is proprietary and has two cords that need to connect to the arms of the glasses at the same time. I think a better design would be to have it charge with a single point of contact. I do see these glasses coming in handy if you are going to be out all day and will already be packing sunglasses like I do. Then you will not have to pack headphones or earbuds separately. I honestly cannot wait for summer since I never leave my house without sunglasses and do several outdoor activities. I will get good use out of them. Overall I like these sunglasses but there are a few downsides. The sound, privacy, and charging are my biggest issues. I do like the idea of having only my sunglasses to carry and have the option of music at any time with them. I am just not crazy about everyone being able to hear me listen to my music, podcasts, or any guilty pleasure I may be indulging in at the moment.

Pleasantly surprised by these lucyd glasses! Ive been using them during the day on zoom meetings, and then they are also great for listening to music while walking my dogs. These are a great alternative to airpods for me because airpods often hurt my ears after extended wear and also Im always losing them.. These work really well for calls and music too. Definitely going to keep my eyes out for new styles from these guys!

Lucyd Lyte Bluetooth Audio Sunglasses LCD005-30 Eclipse The Eclipse Bluetooth audio sunglass models feature a clear face with black temples or frames. It also includes a noise-cancelling microphone for calls and voice assistant. I was able to listen to streaming sources, music from my phone, tablet, and PC with ease. I also connected them via Bluetooth to a TV set with Bluetooth for private listening after hours. I made phone calls and I was told the audio quality was good from those I spoke to. Two buttons on the arms enable a selection of high-utility touch controls, including call answering, play/pause, track skip, volume adjustment and voice assistant activation. They connect to Bluetooth equipped phones, PCs and tablets within a 50-foot range. Charging is with a USB magnetic charging cable with a supplied AC wall adapter. Glasses automatically turn on and begin pairing when disconnected from the charger. 6-8 hours of playback per 2 hour charge. 160 hour standby connection time per the specifications supplied. They come standard with UV400 polarized sun lenses with light mirroring. The glasses include reusable folding box, flat-folding case, cable, wall AC adapter, a cleaning cloth and quick-start guide. I like them and they provide a decent and covert “headphone” experience while wearing sunglasses to protect my eyes from harmful UB rays.

The Lucyd sunglasses are really nice. The lenses are high quality providing UV400 protection and are polarized. They are fashionable as well. The pair I have are a red/gold mirror finished lens. The glasses are very easy to pair to your phone and provide clear sound and a noise cancelling microphone. If I have any complaints, its that there is very little bass and of course, with having speakers located outside your ears, people around you can hear what you are listening to. The privacy thing isn't really a big deal, that is just how external speakers are gonna be, but I do wish they could have managed a touch more bass. It would also be nice to have an app that would allow us to personalize the sound somewhat, but overall , these are neat glasses that fit a niche very well. The sound isn't bad and the mic works very well in answering phone calls or using your assistant. Controls are easy with a button on each arm of the glasses. I like them and will use them by the pool this summer and other times I don't want to wear ear buds, but it would be nice to have a little more control over the sound. They really are pretty neat.

I'll start with the unboxing which is simple but everything is very well arranged, first of all when you open the box the lenses are the first thing that appears, below the charger, the cable, a cloth to clean the lenses, a case that is quite ingenious as it folds up when not in use and is very practical, it also has a bag if you do not want to use the case. One of the things that I found impractical is the charger, the cable has two parts and each with a magnet that connects the lens connectors with the cables, the magnets are not very strong and on several occasions were disconnected with a simple movement, I find something that can be a little frustrating. I must admit that the design is somewhat attractive but it leaves a little to be desired because in the comfort section after having them on for more than 30 min. I noticed a little discomfort in my ears as if the weight was pressing too much. The connection was somewhat simple, it is not required to download any app is done directly from the Bluetooth menu but for the same reason it seems to me that the customization options are limited or practically null, one of the things that from the beginning did not give me a good impression is the audio, this is or should be one of the most important items however completely lacks bass and clarity when it comes to voice assistance, when listening to music or multimedia content is heard as if you had two phone speakers near the ear, which by the way if used with maximum volume is not very comfortable to say. The commands with which the glasses are manipulated tend to be a bit confusing. As I mentioned before, the design is a bit attractive and they have UV filter and fulfill their function but regardless of this I think there are some details such as weight, no app, low audio quality and impracticality when using them make me give this rating, I'm not sure I would recommend this product to anyone.

I picked these up so I could go on my walks without people noticing that I have expensive headsets or that it's attached to a phone (that one can steal). I was a little confused (because I forgot to take instructions with me) on how to get them up and running! I'm not a fan of the charging cable - in theory it's excellent - just magnetic contacts to attach to each of the arms, but I did notice that sometimes it doesn't fully attach and have to kind of keep trying until it does. The pairing was simple as the first time removing it from the charger puts it in Bluetooth pairing mode. I haven't worn sunglasses in a while (or gone out for a walk as it's been raining/gloomy) but when the weather cleared up, went out for a 2 hour walk. I was pleasantly surprised that it's not any heavier than my regular sunglasses, so keeping them on for 2 hours did not feel like I was wearing them, or that they're heavier having electronics built in. I once purchased sunglasses with a video recorder built in, and that was a mess and noticeably weighty. Lucyd lyte - not so much. Controlling the volume is theoretically easy (just press the notch once on left to raise volume, right to lower), but I did notice that sometimes it doesn't activate, or perhaps I'm too impatient - there is a slight delay before it does it. I assume this is to take double taps (for pausing/answering calls) into account. During the walk I didn't use the buttons to raise the volume, but did when i got back and read the instructions. Speaking of volume, the glasses can get loud indoors, and outside it's decent volume, but I (and others) should not put it on full blast anyways. You still want to be able to hear your surroundings, especially cars honking or people yelling at you because you are crossing a street. Does it sound great? It's okay, it's not great, but it's not terrible, and as a fan of music, my brain is already filling in the music so even at a low volume, it's loud for me. Phone calls were great, almost better than the music. My friend could hear me clearly (I even put on my mask to see - he could, but not as loud as unmasked), and I could hear them clearly. The only weird thing about it was that as I walked by someone while talking on the phone, the person looked at me as if I was a crazy person talking to myself, since there wasn't a phone in my hands and nothing in my ears - to others you're just wearing sunglasses! Finally, when working outside on screens, I noticed I could read my iPad and iPhone, but could not read my Microsoft Surface Studio Laptop - that particular screen is just not visible with the sunglasses. Pros: Lightweight easy to pair easy to use excellent call quality good music quality Cons: magnetic cable can be tricky, patience is needed People will think you're talking to yourself if you're on a call Not all TV/computer screens are visible with them on The box/website says I can replace the lenses and prescriptions are available, if I can get them in clear and +1 prescription, I will wear these inside because they are very handy on hands free calls.
