Bought 3 diff mp3 players for less than $100!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I purchased three Mach Speed/Eclipse MP3 players at Best Buy right before going to the Olympics and I spent less than $100 for all 3. I returned my Sandisk player because it was a waist of money, and got these. Could not be happier. I should point out that I needed to call technical support one time to figure out how to conver my iTunes music, (there is actually a video on the website) and the gentlemen was very helpful and genuine, such an awesome experience....Go's to show Best Buy really cares when selecting products. I will post my reviews on each one individually: CLD4-- Pro's-- This little thing is awesome for the quick trip and working out. The clip holds the player firmly in place and for suck a low price, I dont really worry about dropping a weight on it. Music quality is awesome, and the battery life lasts for about 8 hours (Most of my flight# at a higher volume. Con's-- So navigating this one is not quite as easy as the others, because the display is so small #the drawback to its size). This is a great player to put on shuffle, or if you have some playlists loaded. Getting from track 1 to track 300 is a little difficult but can be managed. Personally, for an MP3 player to work out in or just clip on, this is not a big issue. Not even sure how it could be fixed.

Small and easy

'Player' ??? Not really
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device doesn't bother to tell you that it plays very few file types. It is also built with very slow memory (which causes sluggish use and very long load times). It's not exactly plug-in and load your music aka drag n drop files to either. The Sandisk Clip which is about $20-30 higher is worth every penny ...

Lightweight
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this player for working out and it's great. It doesn't pull on my clothes, and is a lot better than using an armband. Works great and price is good.

Terrible battery life, difficult to use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery life on this is terrible. Also, the instructions were not very clear and it's hard to make/ switch playlists.

keep looking
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mp3 player for my nephew and despite using the media player supplied with the device only a portion of music loaded on the device actually shows up and plays. I am no stranger to different branded devices as I have owned players by creative, RCA, Olympic, Philips, and finally broke down and bought the iPod touch. I thought this would be a good starter device for an eight year old mainly because I figured he breaks it no big deal but for a device to have nearly 200 songs loaded and play just 75 of those songs even though they work fine from the computer. I know the songs loaded because I can open the device on my computer and find all the music on the player but.

Poor Mp3 Player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No matter have long you change the player never last 10hours. Also not worth the $15-$25. If you do decide to purchase this Mp3 player please get the insurance.

should be discontinued
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these for my husband and I. The price was great for the amount of memory it holds. However, we soon learned why it was so cheap. The product worked fine initially. After about two weeks, it wouldn't play music. It said musid not found, but there were clearly songs on it when connected to my computer. My husband's didn't give him any problems, but we returned them both anyway. This was my first and last MP3 player by this company. It would be a waste of money even if it costs $0.99. It simply shouldn't be sold.

never worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to hunt for the instructions, nothing on the package tells you that the manual is in the device. Then I loaded my music and it would keep playing the same 3 songs, found out I needed to reload the music and then the player would not recognize any files called tech support and was told it was a firmware issue and that I had to send it back to the factory, I pay for the shipping, for 2-3 days of testing and then either repair or replace and it would be shipped back UPS Ground. 3-5 days The attitude that I got from the supervisor was too bad. If you are thinking of this one, try another not worth it.

Okay MP3- what do you want for $20?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely something that you buy for younger children so they can have something like the older siblings and not worry about it getting lost or broken. It does what it's supposed to. The interface isn't the easiest, but it works. And Hey, it was inexpensive!

Dead On Arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MP3 player was a gift I had purchased for Christmas. It was everthing the recipient needed: small, a clip for biking and working out, 4gb (plenty of capacity), not a ton of extra stuff to confuse the person, easy looking to use. HOWEVER, upon opening this unit, I downloaded music to the device and it did NOT work. Wouldn't keep a charge. I thought maybe my laptop wasn't working right so I put in in a wall outlet to charge overnight, still didn not work.

I got what I paid for I guess.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds good through my Skull Candy earbuds. The earbuds that came with it don't fit and stay in my ears. That maybe due to my ears though.

Save your time and money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get any volume out of this player. It was difficult to program, download and select music once I finally got it to accept a file. The display is ridiculously small and not at all well lit. For the price, you can find a much better performing product.

Worst MP3 player ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I was getting a deal to purchase this for $16.15 total (including taxes). I didn't actually open it and try it out until a year & a half later b/c I was busy. The screen is near impossible to see, and it is possible to amp up the contrast accidentally so you can't see anything. The "backlighting" is only from the left side. Eclipse uses a funky button press menu system (I own an 8GB Eclipse player; I think they are trying to avoid getting sued by Apple) but even so, at least the bigger screen on the 8GB player made it understandable. Not so on this funky little thing, where it is very difficult to select songs. Also, don't forget that Eclipse cannot play .m4a files. Nowadays, Windows Media Player also mixes in my iTunes library with m4a files, along with the mp3 files that WMP makes. You can drag or sync m4a files to Eclipse players and you think they are there when you look via your Windows PC. However, the files will not play, nor display ont the device...m4a files just waste your space on the Eclipse devices. I have yet to see if this device will hold up over time...I've just tried it today. The silver gray matte finish seems like it will scratch off easily. The clip might break. It is certainly not water resistant.

Great mp3 player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mp3 player!! Only downfall is that you can't look at a list of songs, you must skip through songs to find the one you want instead of looking at an actual list.

A nice Mp3 for a gift.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a good product to use in a "casual way". For the price, it is a good prodct you can use and listen any time.

Good for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know how people can came here to say badthings about this product, its just $19.99 and ppl expect to have a Ipod with a beats sound,I cant belive it. It works well for me,I have a good head phone and make it a little better, but when I bought I knew that it was very limited product. If you guys want a good sound and a good product, go and buy a Ipod or something more than $19.99. People just like to complain,I cant belive it.

Stopped working after two weeks.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this MP3 player as an alternative to the expensive Apple products. It lasted a whole two weeks before giving me a "No Files" error that a little searching proved has affected others, as well. Though, no official word or fix is available. A waste of $20 for me, but I guess for that price I got what I paid for.
