Max and Furiosa are a delight in this visceral thrill ride of a movie. In a world where water is the greatest and rarest resource, Crazy Joe seemingly holds all the cards. Enter feminism and the rarest possibility of male redemption and you get a winning formula of guts, blood and glory. Some of the best editing and special effects ever put on screen, not the mention that crazy guitar guy that just won’t stop rocking. Look out for the prequel coming soon.

This movie is awesome and not just because I like Mad Max. Im not a fan of runway models in movies but thankfully they are only a side note. The movie is mainly about Max and Furiosa(awesome name). This movie is the best action movie I have seen in a long time. The directing and wide angle shots are amazing and let you see the scene for what it is. Not any of this fast "flash flash flash, loud noise, explosion, explosion, etc" all the while you are looking at 1-2second clips up close and mainly CGI. This movie will take you back to how it should be done. The vehicles are a sight to see on their own. Could have used more supercharger sounds though. Haha.

While I won't go into detail about the movie or the bonus features, I will mention the physical contents in this Blu-ray/DVD combo. Some movies don't put a Blu-ray and DVD copy together which can be a problem for people who want a copy on different formats. Fortunately, there's a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray, DVD, and a paper slip with a code to redeem a digital copy online. I believe the redemption required a UltraViolet account and an additional account (VUDU or Flixster). Having multiple formats can be convenient for watching movies on different devices. As for the movie itself, Mad Max: Fury Road is definitely a movie worth owning.

First of all, it really shouldn't be compared to the original Mad Max movie - the relationship between the two is almost non-existent. Kind of a mindless story line - but the almost non-stop action makes up for it. The picture quality was excellent. Great cinematography. Great effects. Great use of the custom made vehicles, crashes, etc.. Music sound track was weird in a few places, it didn't quite match up to the action. Bluray disc comes with multiple special features well worth watching. Rated "R". 120 minutes long. My over rating comes closer to a 4.5 stars, but I gave it the extra 1/2 star due to amount of work it took to produce this film.

The graphics in this film are great with a good story line.

A continuation of the Mad Max series minus Mel Gibson shouldn't be this good, especially directed by a 70yo George Miller (the original writer and director). But it is, and boy is it good. More in your face and on the nose than previous efforts, MMFR also includes ingenious stunt work, both driving and otherwise, that trumps all others in the series. A bit garish and cartoonish, the world nevertheless thrives in its postapocalyptic roots even as it thunders on without it's previous star. Now available in a Black and Chrome version so you can watch with your pinkies out, great flick!

This is a very kinetic movie with enormous chase scenes involving over-engineered totally ridicules vehicles, and in some respects it’s a non-verbal film that tells its’ story through action and movement vice dialogue. All the stunts, motor-cycle jumps, pole-work, and horrific vehicle crashes are the “real-deal,” and are not augmented by CGI which is unusual when compared other current day movies. The film “belongs-to” both the Max and Furiosa characters who both dominate the entirety of the saga – but the real question is really whose film is it! To say that this film is a “heavy-duty” action story would be an under-statement.

Very entertaining and great fun to watch the action.

Mad Max: Fury Road is the most intense film in George Miller's MM franchise and is whipped into a frenzy by a relentless soundtrack. There is enough graphic violence to satisfy nearly every fan of this genre. Tom Hardy is the ultimate "Timex Hero" who takes a licking and keeps on ticking while Charlize Theron shines in her most badass role. The UHD picture (it was upsampled from 2K negative) is mostly brilliant with a few splotches and the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack is completely immersive. Not one for the faint of heart, Fury Road is a compelling watch that is worth seeing again.

Movie is a treat to watch and the visuals are stunning.

I have been a fan of Mad Max since the 1st film came from down under and then. . . the 2nd film (The Road Warrior) was even better--a superb piece of filmmaking (and, yes, I liked Beyond Thunderdome). With Fury Road, things are the same and different. You could say that it takes place between the 2nd and 3rd film but I see this one as a new iteration of the series. We find a haunted Mad Max in an apocalyptic world that is now not as credible as the one in the Mel Gibson films, but what a ride this film is. For action fans, this is the film to have in your collection. The editing, the stunts (the film mainly relies on actual stunt work--instead of CGs--and there is a difference that can be seen) and acting are solid. Charlize Theron does not physically look ripped for the character but, boy, can she act! Waiting for the next one.

In a world of unwanted sequels and remakes, Mad Max stands out as one of the best ever. I've seen, and liked all of the Mad Max's, but Fury Road sets a new standard. It's non-stop action, with only a few minutes to rest every now and then before diving back into the fight. Compared to other action films, it's a surprisingly thoughtful story, begging the question of what humanity will do to themselves in the future, and particularly how we treat women. It is a movie about feminism as much as it is about anything, and I hate political correctness, so believe me when I say that it works well.

This movie is freaking amazing! I saw it in the theater and just had own it on Blu-ray. Great casting of Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.. It was really her story to tell the truth. Visually spectacular, it really lived up to the reputation of a road warrior movie. A definite must-see for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike that just want to see an incredible spectacle. I bought this with the video game and received $10 off. What a great deal! This is one of those films where the story doesn't really matter, you can just put the disc on and enjoy all of the vehiclular combat and spectacular explosions. I love it!

If You are Fan of The First Mad Max.With its kind of Its Futuristic take on a Desolate Future. Then I believe You will Like This Updated Version of It. It Still has that Desolate feel to It. With the The Survival of the Fittest Plot with The Worst Humanity Has to Offer and The Best it has to Offer in the Unwilling Hero. Max Rockatansky played Wonderfulling by Tom Hardy. Charlize Theron who Plays Furiosa does a Wonder Job as The Unlikely Warrior and Carries Her Own as A Lead Character. Once the Action Start. Brace Yourself for a Roller Coast Ride of Non.-Stop Action that is Imprresive. Highly Recommend It..

Hey feminists, pay attention! This is an apocalyptic allegory about women starting a movement to take back their world from a system that treats humans like objects. Granted, it could have had better intersectionality, but it was a step in the right direction for Hollywood. Trigger warnings include: s*xual slavery (apparently the review won't let me type that word), objectification of nearly everyone for different purposes, hyper-masculinity, violence, pregnancy, crude cesarean, cisnormativity, society-wide starvation. I think that covers it, forgive me if I'm mistaken. This movie is not child appropriate.

This UHD disc is a great upgrade for FURY ROAD, one of the best action films of recent years. The HDR color grading helps the blue skies and desert oranges pop even more, while the sound mix is aggressively immersive. This version included a Blu-ray Disc as well, but no digital code. If you enjoy all the Mad Max films, you may want to get the upcoming UHD Mad Max Anthology, featuring all 4 films in 4K.

If you're expecting a deep plot and insightful characters this isn't the movie for you. If you're looking for fun and exciting action with gorgeous visuals and the occasional notion of plot you will love it. It's the movie equivalent of a thrill ride. There are moments that hint at deeper conflicts, themes and character depth but they're short glimpses where the viewer is left not knowing the whole story. This movie isn't about the backstory. It isn't about the lead character's past. It lives in the moment and there's something awesome about that. Go into it expecting great action and you'll love it.

Being an original Mad Max fan I had little faith that this au-deux would be any good without Tina and Mel. My son nudged me to see this movie claiming it to be one of the best he had ever seen but I wasn't going there. Then I'm watching the Oscar awards and this movie is getting hit after hit. I finally breakdown and buy the 3D version and low and behold my eyes had been opened. In a word...WOW! Edge of your seat action packed. Move over Mel...Tom's in the driver's seat!

If you go into watching this movie for an intricate story or great dialogue, you will be disappointed. However, I cannot remember a better action movie than this in the last couple of years. The action sequences are amazing especially when you consider how the scenes were filmed. It truly is a unique film and in a day and age where everything is cgi, this movies special effects are amazing and enthralling. Loved it in theaters and loved it on the bog screen at home. Great purchase.

George Miller returns to his beloved Mad Max series with a furious vengeance! Fun, exciting, and fast paced, the newest installment in the Mad Max series is a lean, mean, revved up V8 machine. It wastes no time holding your hand and is a well realized and constructed world, which adds to its re-watchability. This one is definitely worth owning on bluray too. It's beautiful, visceral, and has an amazing score that will have you seeking out the soundtrack to own as well as the movie itself. If you're a fan of action movies or interesting post-apocalyptic worlds, do yourself a favor and WITNESS!
