One of the Best Movies of All Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The title doesn't lie. This movie is an absolute masterpiece in every respect. It's beautiful, engaging, moving, exciting, thought-provoking, and most of all enjoyable to watch. The character development is phenomenal and it somehow makes you care about the characters with almost no dialog, allowing you to connect to them on an emotional level. The score is wonderful as well, adding to the intensity with grit and emotion. The only downside is the long-promised black and white version with an isolated score is not on the Blu-Ray. Hopefully one day we will receive this version.

Easily the best film of 2015
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bottom line is this: Mad Max: Fury Road is a great film that should have performed better in the box office. If you missed it, the least you can do is buy the DVD or blu-ray and support not only this particular film, but this style of filmmaking for filmmaking's sake. Mad Max doesn't pander to the audience with graphic nudity or the promise of sequels, prequels, and more. It pays homage to the Mad Max films before it while reminding us it's the year 2015 - so you can have a female hero who doesn't just serve the male protagonist's story. So support this film to support more films like it.

Best way to show off your 4K TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a review of the movie itself, although the movie is truly fantastic, instead I'm simply commenting on the picture quality. This is an excellent UHD movie. Not so much because of the resolution (it's upscaled from a 2.7K master), but instead because of the excellent use of HDR. The difference between the standard Blu Ray of this film and the UHD version are immediately noticeable. The oranges and blues truly pop and give life to an otherwise dead world. If you have a 4K Blu Ray player and a TV that supports 4K and HDR10, this is the movie to have.

Mad Max: Fury Road (3D)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Great 3D movie, beautifully filmed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I missed the chance to see Fury Road in the theaters so I was excited to watch the 3D version at home. The 3D looked great and matched the feel and flow of the film nicely. I’m relatively new to the Mad Max series having just watched the original two movies in the last month. I loved Mad Max: The Road Warrior and Fury Road follows in those footsteps bring intense non-stop action. My only caution would be almost all the action is vehicle related. I watched this with my dad (late 50’s) and he grew bored saying it was too much of just vehicles driving around, I disagree.

Decent format for great movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two years later I don't think I need to give anyone a review of Mad Max: Fury Road, but just in case: Exciting action, compelling setting-building, beautifully produced and edited, and engaging all throughout. DVD is sort of the "left behind" medium of choice these days but that's ok for my needs, and I'm (still) dragging my feet to jump on the BluRay wagon. If you've got BluRay or better, I'd encourage you to buy the version appropriate for your media setup, but if you're a simple person with simple tastes like me, the DVD is just fine!

Excellent movie, decent extras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fury Road came out of left field to become not only one of the best films of 2015, but one of the best action movies ever crafted. It's an instant classic, a quintessential film in its genre that is sure to have a long-lasting influence. The extras included on the Blu-Ray release are good, if a bit lacking (the absence of a director's commentary is probably the most glaring thing missing). But for those who want to dig a bit deeper into how the film was made, they do provide some interesting interviews and behind the scenes footage.

Exhilarating
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't been rendered breathless by a movie in many years but this is the one. From the opening scene, Mad Max grabs you like a terrier and doesn't stop shaking you until the closing credits. The most interesting aspect is that Max almost becomes a secondary character with your focus being directed firmly towards the female lead. Filled with strong female characters, it's in many ways a feminist movie giving us a number of strong, determined and empathetic series of female role models. Come the apocalypse, I know who I will be hanging with to stay alive.

BEST MOVIE OF 2015
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was spectacular! First of all, you should see this movie if you love Tom Hardy. He doesn’t say a whole lot during the film, but that doesn’t matter. Secondly, this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time! It’s action packed! Thirdly, this movie wasn’t at all what I thought it was going to be! Charlize Theron does a magnificent job portraying Furiosa! Wow! This girl is good! I saw this in 3D, but it’s just as good on my tv at home without 3D. Enjoy!

Loved the movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie I will give 5 stars however I did have to return the item initially because the digital copy was not included. Neither of the two said the digital hd was in there however online the listing said it did. Good thing I went back to try another one. Similar item, same item number, same everything except the one I exchanged for had the digital copy. Not sure how that happened but if you see the listing says there's a digital copy then it should be in there even if it doesn't say so on the package itself.

Great movie and a great steelbook
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fury Road is a great film, and you should 100% buy or stream it regardless of if you have seen the other Mad Max films. If you are dropping money on the steelbook though, you already knew that. This is one of those movies where if you collect physical media and appreciate the film, the steelbook does it great justice and worth the price of admission. Especially if you plan on watching it multiple times.

Great sequel in Post-Apocalyptic Series!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Years after the collapse of civilization, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), a loner and former captive. Fortified in the massive, armored truck the War Rig, they try to outrun the ruthless warlord and his henchmen in a deadly high-speed chase through the Wasteland.

Good for action and OK for Atmos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much conversation, but a lot of impressive action, and some novel ideas for the car chases. By "action" I don't mean gunplay, although there was some. Not that I love Mel Gibson, but this lead actor might have lacked the necessary charisma for the role. He was more of a man-with-no-name type of character - without being as dramatically quiet as Clint Eastwood's patented version of those characters. I was a little disappointed with the Dolby Atmos soundtrack, which was one of my main reasons for purchasing. The soundtrack was great, but I did not get much sense of sound having any height and elevation to it - which is what I like about Atmos. It was more like the extra Atmos channels were used to envelope me with sound.

Mad Max rocks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first experience with Mad Max was as a grade school kid back in the 80's. So to me, Mel Gibson will always be Max. Having said that, the new incarnation of Mad Max blew me away. I first saw this feature in 1080p and thought the cinematics were great. Now having a 4k TV and watching this in 4k is even better. Details just pop from the screen and UHD makes the saturation and color pallete explode. While the movie itself has a desert theme and feel, it is a treat when you aren't just looking at sand colors. The clarity of 4k makes a lot of effects really stand out. So much so that they feel fake at times. The story is decent. Charlize is amazing. It was a treat to watch again with more detail.

Maybe the Best in the Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've seen the first 3 Mad Max films, you'll probably love this film. It takes Thunderdome and dumps gasoline and money all over it, but with the vision and control of the same director. It is somehow tasteful, even though every shot from every scene on its own may look like an affront to the word tasteful. This is 95% chase-scene and definitely the craziest one I've ever scene. The movie is an exceptional example of how good special effects can be, especially when combining digital and practical so well that it is hard to tell them apart within the film. And Tom Hardy does not let down the character of Max. Good job, George Miller. As far as the visual/sound transfer: no problems.

One of my all-time favorites
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't expecting to LOVE this movie, but I rented it one day out of boredom. Suddenly I realized that this flick is one of the most awesome of all time. It's a total guy flick with a surprising feminine twist. I quickly rushed to Best Buy to buy the 3-D Blu-ray and have watched multiple times since. My Dolby Atmos system sweats everytime, but it's two hours of sheer adrenaline that I can't get enough of. War Boys!

The Mad Max Series Is Still Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't get to see Mad Max: Fury Road in theaters, but once it came out on DVD, I rented it and loved it!!! It has all the craziness of the first three in the series with a few more surprises that work! Tom Hardy makes the character of Mad Max his own, Charlize Theron's Furiosa is just a very strong character that happens to be a woman, and Nicholas Hoult's Nux really has a great character arc. The action sequences are amazing; the plot is minimal but still coherent; and the overall movie makes you feel you are in some sandy, hot, and disturbing dystopian future where the things we take for granted today are hotly contested commodities in that world. I definitely recommend this movie for anyone who wants a raucous good time!

Such a great add on
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For you mad max fans, this one takes the cake. Without any spoilers, max takes a step back as protagonist, and furuosa shines as the lead. The movie never stops moving, the story easy to follow yet intriguing, and if you're able to watch this in HDR prepare to be amazed. The black are dark, the reddish color palette used throughout really keeps the tone post apocalyptic, and the bright colors really pop. Worth a buy

A Fun, Post-Apocalyptic Ride
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mad Max: Fury Road is a spectacularly filmed fourth outing for Max--even though this movie doesn't require you to have seen or even heard of the previous three Mad Max films. The visuals are awesome, and worth the watch just by themselves. But there's a complete, coherent movie here too! Those looking for stuff blowing up will not be disappointed. Those looking for more won't be either. If you're one of the lucky few to be able to watch this in UHD and Dolby Atmos sound, you'll be thoroughly impressed.

Modern age Mad Max
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many movies , Mad Max Fury Road made some people Mad, because of the portrayals of strong female characters and a fascist type evil leader, some people even wanted to boycott, but they can see those points of view in other movies if they look hard enough, they can't enjoy movies anyway, that's why they are called movies. This was an action packed popcorn flick that gives humanity warning about perils of global warming and environmental catastrophes and how they might affect certain society's.
