Really enjoy watching mad max even more in 3d
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mad max fury road is such a great action movie that I enjoy watching it over and over. The action scenes are like none that I've seen before. The movie is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Watching it in 3D and coupled with a good sound system puts you right in the middle of the action. The action and the the photography makes it a great thrill ride. The special features also some other scenes and interesting facts and information about the movie and the making of the movie

Amazing Rendering of a Great Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have a copy of Mad Max Fury Road in my movie collection and watch this movie often. I heard they were going to release a black and white (chrome) version of this film and I was intrigued. I could image some scenes but still thought it would be interesting. Of the available options I did not want to repurchase the entire Mad Max collection but now in this package I get both versions of this action packed movie for a great, better than great, price!! It is a must have.

AMAZING ACTION... Great plot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is action packed from start to finish. If you're looking for a movie that will challenge that new 4K UHD TV and that new Home Theater sound system, look no further. I can now really say I'm a Mad Max fan, despite not knowing anything about the previous movies (other than Mel Gibson being the lead) before watching this film. And I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the franchise. The plot is very intriguing and will have you leaning toward the screen trying to figure out what comes next. I also admired that fact that they threw a few curve balls (it kept me guessing). This movie is definitely worth the purchase in Blu-Ray! Sorry... I'm not one for spoilers. But if you get it, you won't regret it.

Fantastic Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While watching this movie with my significant other, I realized that this may be the first truly feminist action movie. For many people, that may suggest the conventional "chick flick," which I assure you this movie defies that outdated characterization. Charlize Theron is the star, make no mistake (especially given that Max, played by Tom Hardy, might have a sum total of 250 words in the entire movie). She is fearsome and still realistic. All in all, amazing movie that deserved to win all its Academy Awards.

Fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of those movies that some of peoples' problems with it are: "what's going on? why are they doing this? who are these people? etc..." I get it, I do. When you just take this for what this is however; a crazy Post-Apocalyptic society that has unraveled into insanity with a former cop, Max, stuck in the middle (having seen the first movie at least helps), and you go from there, this movie kills it! It is beyond words how crazy good this movie is. I can't wait for the next one!

Great film, debatable release
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much has been said about this film, so if you're a fan, this release is already a must buy. If you're new to the film, you should watch it in 3-D if possible, then 2D and only then Black & Chrome. While this approach to the material creates a unique viewing experience, watching it with it's original, vivd colors is always best. I'd also recommend this over the UHD disc, which sadly makes everything look too digital. The picture and audio quality on this release is stunning.

Fantastic Return
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great, great film! At the very least, it rivals the first two films in terms of entertainment bang for your buck. I would go as far as saying it actually surpasses The Road Warrior and the original Mad Max. Fury Road has brilliant cinematography, and a constant feeling of being pushed toward the finale - it never drags for even a moment. The blu-ray is good quality, and has a couple of interesting features - although I do wish it had the mythical black & white cut of the film. Well done, George Miller!

Wow ... Non-stop Action!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mad Max: Fury Road does something that many action movies fail to do. I was on a roller-coaster for nearly the entire length of this movie, and at no point did I get worn out by so much going on. You're gripped by every action, beat by beat, all the way through. Though I'm personally not a fan of post-apocalyptic settings, Mad Max has this kind of charm that is awe-inspiring, something other settings of this kind don't evoke. You MUST see this movie if you have even a little like for action movies, period.

Fury Road-not to be confused with Pleasant Avenue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This revival of the Mad Max franchise is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is violent and ugly in all aspects. In this dystopia, most people are slaves to warlords, although a few remaining beautiful women are kept as breeder slaves. It is these slaves that Furiosa (Charlize Theron) sets out to free. The ensuing chase and road war show Charlize in a character unlike anything she has ever played before, and she's terrific. The action is non-stop yet does not overshadow a sensitive plot. A movie not to miss!

The next and best mad max movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its not every day you see a film that not only supplies the action we all want but also and practical Stunt works that each actor had to painstakingly go thru. Mad max is a movie that even though the story is paper thin...its the characters that make this movie work; Max is now the somewhat silent protagonist but thats okay its still his show even though Furiosa (played awesomely by Charlize Theron) takes up the majority of the story this movie plays out in some of the most intense scenes i've seen in a movie. There are some inconsistencies like a sudden change to max's past. But all in all much like the last three movies this one is another high mark on George miller's record...go see this film!

This is Mad Max for the new era.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mad Max series is finally enjoying a long awaited (30 years!) return to form (or is it?). Fury Road brings our titular hero back into the spotlight where he deserves to be. This time around Mel Gibson has been replaced with fan favorite actor Tom Hardy (Inception, Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises). Not only was Hardy a perfect cast from the aesthetic standpoint (looks very much like a younger Mel Gibson in the movie) but the way he plays the character makes it feel like he's been doing it forever.

A new Max, but still Mad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Anybody who has seen the original films knows Mel Gibson portrayal of Mad Max could not be matched. However, this sequel/remake has a good main cast, writing and action. I think Tom Hardy played Max perfectly. He honored Gibson's performance while making it his own. The movie itself is non-stop action. Special effects were great and the details of the imagry even better. The story has several elements The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome, but is its own film. Also, the villains are great additions to the Mad Max mythos. It may not be an Oscar winning type movie, but its not intended to be. Overall its a great popcorn movie. If you like action and explosions you will like this movie.

Surprisingly Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoyed the Mad Max movies back in the day although, I wasn't as big a fan of 'Beyond Thunderdome'. This movie captures the desperation and despair of Mad Max and Road Warrior. It keeps the series very Australian and includes several exciting stunt scenes - like the ones that made the series popular. Lots of apocalyptic vehicles, leather, and dust. Recommended for old and new fans alike.

Great 3D Blu-ray release
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a top notch blu-ray release. My only disappointment is that the 4K blu-ray that recently came out does not come with the 3D blu-ray, so you have to buy both versions to have everything. It'd be nice if studios would include the 3D blu-ray with the 4K UHD blu-ray releases. I'd pay a little more to not have to buy both sets... but then again, that's probably what they want you to do.

Fury Road is all action!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you really like super action/violence filled movies this one is for you. The cgi effects are terrific and it is a good sequel to the Mad Max genre. However I found it hard to watch because if you didn't see all the previous Mad Max movies it was hard to believe people would go to this extent to arrive at the final outcome. Very little dialogue. The extras were very interesting. It must have been a very trying time for the actors and film crew under the weather conditions on location.

Like a car chase staged as ballet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie starts bat-stuff crazy and only gets crazier from there, only stopping to take a welcome breather in a few spots. The refreshing use of practical effects for most of the car combat gives the action sequences (which is most of the film, frankly) a more raw and dangerous feeling watching actors in actual peril instead of aping their reactions in front of a green wall. The underlying pro-equality message is a nice relief to the unrelenting sidelining of female characters or the reliance on the "damsel in distress," tropes all-too-common in action films in general. I recommend the 3D version if you have the means to watch it. The storm sequence alone is worth it.

Good, but not as good as Road Warrior
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall premise was interesting, and the stunts and action scenes (while few) were wild. The big problem I had was that the movie still took place within Max's lifetime, maybe 20-30 years after the apocalypse, but the cultural aspects shown in the movie would take generations to develop. The giant water storage facility and hydroponics would likely have taken 100-200 years to develop in such a world. While some small cult religions can develop in a matter of years, the extent of the ones depicted are multi-generational. It would have been better if they scrapped the Max character altogether and just made it seem like it really was 100 or 200 years later.

An intense post apocalyptic joy ride
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the rare reboot that is arguably better than the source material. Though it helps that the original creator is responsible. Somehow it transcends the typical chase movie and creates characters that you feel empathy with. But the real gem in this film is the chase. And what a chase it is. While most films have a chase scene or two, pretty much the entire run time is in one way or another a chase through the desert with plenty explosions to keep you riveted. The fact that most of the effects are practical also helps ground the film. A kick ars (apparently a$s is inappropriate language) performance by Charlize Theron is just icing on the cake.

WITNESS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far, the BEST Mad Max movie yet (and I LOVED "The Road Warrior")! Max once again stumbled into the worst imaginable situation, this time helping a group of fierce and determined women escape the most disgusting tyrant ever imagined (who could still very easily be the original Toecutter). Between the action sequences (done mostly by REAL rigs and people, not CGI nonsense) and the writing that gives each character real development, this is a dream of a movie. Go. Buy. It. Now.

Great vision, brilliant picture
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Epic action thriller causing you to check your socks for sand at the end. Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy are amazing in this movie. Great monsterized vehicles, driven by crazed followers of Immortal Joe. Immortal Joe is a great depiction of a villain, he really gives off the feel of wreaking of old cigarettes and sweat.
