Subtlety and extremity, a magnum opus from grandmaster George Miller,Tom Hardy is Max our title character poached off the road in the opening scene, he enters the world of Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne the toe cutter himself) the self proclaimed god who controls the water in this dessert wasteland his War Boys who follow him as god, the Imperator Furiousa (Charlize Theron in her best performance yet!) one of his best warriors and a harem of wives who want to be free. See it!

No Spoilers. This is a great movie that harkens back to the old school action movie era when stunts were not computer generated. The action screens will honestly amaze you. The cinematography is excellent. This is the kind of movie that after you watch it you will be talking about it the next day with your friends at work. It is that great. I would say that is not the kind of movie for kids 12 and under to watch. Definitely purchase this movie in the 3D Blu-ray format.

I saw this film in the theater in 3D and I must say the blu ray transfer is excellent. The film holds up well on my equipment, and I have decent stuff but not the top end equipment that some have. The sound is excellent, too. I wish the product had included a special feature that I read about on line--a black & white version of the film that the director stated was his preferred choice. Maybe on the Criterion edition someday. Until then, this edition is worth the money.

I was fan of the original Max Max movies watching them from the early rough ones to the big productions. After so ling wasn't sure if a remake could be good. This movie was fantastic and I think because it didn't turn out as expect from what I read. Instead of the Mel Gibson character being the main hero, Charlize Theron and her character really steal the show. Lots a great action, special effects, and story that will keep your interest. Looking forward to a sequel.

It seems like may directors are starting to enjoy the black and white aesthetic again -- now see Mad Max in black and white as George Miller apparently wanted you to see it. The story is awesome! the action is amazing and the special effects are unreal. I loved this film in the theatre and haven't regretted this purchase. I generally don't watch a movie twice, but this is a movie I watch at least every year if not more now.

This was always an outstanding movie on Blu Ray. I purchased a Sony 65" OLED TV before the holidays and this 4K Blu Ray of Fury Road recently and it is like watching the movie for the very first time. The colors are incredibly rich and the detail is amazing. Awesome 4K. This will be watched many times in the coming years.

This movie is insane in a good way. When I first saw it in theaters I didn't know what to expect and it really surprised me. The steelbook is pretty good, fits the vibe. I wish they included the black and white edition but if you're just in it for the movie and a good case to hold it in then this 4K version is the best option to date.

Watch this fun romp in the post-apocalyptic world of tomorrow to get the meaning behind the title of this review! Tom Hardy takes over as Max from Mel Gibson, and the world is almost better for it. Seriously, Max as a character is almost secondary to what's going on, just like he was in Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome. It's kind of hard to see what makes him special, since the characters he meets are usually more interesting than him. In any case, Fury Road is well-paced and entertaining. The only flaw I can give it is the weird lingo the warboys shout out. I had to turn on subtitles to understand some of what they were saying.

A stunning film, through and through. I had seen the first Mad Max years ago, and didn't feel any real loyalty to the franchise. Even the trailers for this movie looked insane, and not something entirely up my alley. This is a surprising and amazing film with stellar characters and performances to match, as well as beautiful cinematography and real life stunts. Do yourself a favor and give this one watch, or risk missing out on one of 2015's best movies.

When I purchased this movie I wasn't to sure if I would like it. I've watched the original mad Max back in the day and liked it, so I said why not check this new movie out. We'll I'm glad I did I was glued to this movie and couldn't say enough on how cool this movie is. It's different and the action is completely new and the graphics wow!! It's worth owning this movie.it is not worth to rent because I will be showing this movie off for months.

Im a big fan of bundling DVDs with the Blu-Ray. I wish all physical media would do this. A lot of people still don't have blu-ray. So if I want to loan my friend the movie and all I have is blu-ray he can't watch it. Beyond that, the movie is a great transfer and has some good extras. the movie itself is a return to classic Mad Max. Nothing but action. On par with MM2. Better than Thunderdome by far. Probably better than MM1. Very recommended.

Kind of a new school feel with the old skull basis behind the story. I thought this film had a little more if not just as much vehicle race/chase action scenes as the first 3 Mad Max films. The 3D only immerses you more into the action and drama of it all. Some new twists that make the film its own thing. Not a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome continuation story in any way other than the sand and dirt. I give it a thumbs up. Or horns up for all you metalheads.

If you want nonstop breathtaking action, look no further! Fury Road is visually spectacular. From 100% real stunts with no CGI, to epic explosions and fight scenes that leave you with goosebumps. Top it off with great acting performances from Tom Hardy taking over the role as Max and Charlize Theron as tough Furiosa. The world George Miller takes you to is a roller coaster of devestation and survival. So sit back and enjoy the ride, you will not regret it!

I have never watched a Mad Max film until this one and I was FLOORED. So great. I was apprehensive about how easy it would be to follow, but it wasn't very hard at all (there are some minor plot points that were confusing, but nothing from the main story). A ton of fun, a lot of great imagery and great acting. One of the best action movies I've ever seen.

Man, I LOVED this movie. I had seen it first on the blu-ray version and regretted not seeing it in the movie theatre. I had read all of the reviews and was worried that I was going to be disappointed. I was not. The story is simple and it is basically very chase, action sequences. But, what makes it great is that each "chase" action scene is done differently. Adding onto the previous one. For me? It worked. I recommend this movie for action junkies.

Easily one of the top 10 movies of 2015. Tom Hardy continues to be an incredible, adaptable, believable actor in any role he takes on. He is Mad Max to the maximum. I would say a far better one than Mel Gibson...in almost all respects. Movie buffs who don't like this type of road raging madness should go ahead and try it on for size anyway. It'll fit well. You won't be disappointed. Add the Blu ray 3-D version to your collection, just to Max it out!

I've enjoyed all of the Mad Max movies so far, but this is without a doubt the best of them. The action is fun and interesting, the characters and post-apocalyptic world are engaging, and there isn't a lot of time spent on exposition. All of the cars and trucks used are real, and were made with glorious creativity (watch the special features!). Tom Hardy carries the Max role flawlessly. The 3D is also very well done, it looks beautiful on my plasma TV.

WOW. This is hands down the best film I have seen this year. Knowing that reviews and opinion of this movie were sky-high, it is even more impressive that I was still blown away. Additionally, the 3D was the best I've seen in a live action movie to date. I don't want to over-hype too much, but really, if you are an action movie fan, this is an absolute must-see!

Great film and fast-paced it makes every other film out there look slow and old-fashioned. Wonderful to see George Miller back on the Australian road, where he belongs. Charlize Theron's performance is top notch, Tom Hardy is not bad, but the stunts are really where the film shines. It's hard to think of a better action road movie. It has all the intensity and perversity of the MAD MAX and THE ROAD WARRIOR, but amped up to new heights of craziness.

3D movies at home are my favorite and am disappointed it never took off as much as it should have. Mad Max Fury Road is by far the best 3D film ever. Yep, I said it better than Avatar 1, 2, 3 and 4! Best line in Fury Road is “WITNESS” as it reminds me of Helium Mining proof of coverage.
