This movie was one of the best examples of a great action movie I have ever seen. The acting was incredible, this truly is Tom Hardy's magnum opus. The special effects were unreal, and the action was nonstop. I even enjoyed the plot, which is something I can't say about most action movies I've seen. I was very glad I got the blu Ray because it looks amazing on my home theater system with my 4K tv. I would recommend everyone see this movie asap!

Fury Road set a new standard for action movies and Mad Max specifically. While I love the previous Max films as much as anyone else, Fury Road is a fully imagined Road Warrior. I'm not a fan of CGI heavy films, but the CGI in Fury Road is mainly to enhance the environments in the world, and a great sand storm sequence. Most of the vehicle combat scenes were done with practical effects. It's one long adrenaline rush, with a great score throughout.

OK, so clearly most males my age (I was in College when Mad Max was released) want to see any of this series and get that dystopian action thrill-ride they all provide. "Fury Road" was no exception and clearly a step up from 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome." What was surprising, is that this fourth in the series also has quality acting, a well written but terse screenplay, dynamic choreography and cohesive direction; something I wasn't expecting.

While I was extremely disappointed that Mel Gibson would not be back to reprise his iconic role, Tom Hardy fills his shoes very well. And Charlize Theron as Furiosa will do down as one of the most badass female characters in film history. Sound and picture quality are tops. There are several great scenes to show off your home theater. Make sure to get it while it's part of the 3 for $50 promotion!

I thought this newest version of MAD MAX did justice to the original movies. I'm a 74 year old dude and I liked the new version just as much as the originals with Mel Gibson and Tina Turner... Tom Hardy did a great job as Max, and Charlize Theron went from a beautiful Hollywood actress to a veteran road warier; she is not a beauty symbol in this movie, but she wins the best actress award in my opinion! The blue ray is well worth the price...

This is the fourth installment in the Mad Max film franchise. Directed by George Miller. It takes place years after the events of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and the wasteland is more barren than ever. A colony exists but it's an oasis for water and gasoline.. Mad Max doesn't say much, the plot unfolds and it is solely on survival. The acting is great, action with all stunt work, and music is gripping. A thrilling action film of yesteryear!

I love the Mad Max franchise. The problem I have with the older films, however, is that while the stories are excellent the graphics have aged rather poorly over the years. This movie reinvigorates the franchise and seems like what Miller wanted to create so many years ago - a completely over-the-top film about what happens when society breaks down. This movie captured my attention from the very beginning and never let go. 5/5 stars

I saw this film on release day in theaters. Plus, I have seen it on Blu-ray, via streaming in Dolby Vision, and now on 4K UHD Blu-ray in HDR10. While I am not the biggest fan of the film, I admire the artistry of it. I love the original Mad Max trilogy, however. The main point of this review is to focus on the quality of the presentation in 4K. This film truly is amazing to watch. The blues in the sky shots are stunning. The reds and oranges in the sand and the vibrancy of the flames are so rich, as well. This is a must-own on the format.

The movie had a decent plot and a lot of action, but very fictional. I would say that seeing the movie in 3d didn't do much for me. I think the standard version is adequate.

When I saw the movie back in 2015 I thought the movie was meh. But someone recommended that movie to me. So I purchased the steelbook which by the way it came in pristine condition. And wow I totaled enjoyed the movie! But of course I do have a decent atmos set up and 4k tv. That's a must to enjoy the movie. Thanks BestBuy!

George Miller delivers the quintessential film of 2015. Although Tom Hardy gives an exceptional performance, our protagonist is Furiosa, Charlize Theron's character. The practical effects set this film apart from the normal digitally shot features that generally inhabit our summer blockbuster season. If we have to wait another 30 years to get a follow up to this movie it will be worth the wait if the film is comparably to Fury Road.

I had heard good things about this movie (didn't see it in the public theater, but I very rarely go these days) however it was a day 1 buy when it came out. A lot of fun and all the action had a purpose and a consequence (my definition of a good action movie). Very cool stunts and visuals. I did not notice any issues with the disk itself. It was a great workout and showpiece on my home theater and projector. Highly recommended!

Loved this movie. Big on Charlize's character. Max doesn't say much but what do you have to say when you're driving for your life. Redefines the classic movie and beautifully mixes practical effects with the special effects of this movie. Colors really pop in this movie. Action keeps you engaged even though the story is very simple. The action is guaranteed to keep you watching all the way till the end.

Let's just say that if every big Hollywood "blockbuster" now a days aims to give you a punch to the stomache with its big CGI visuals and boring dialogue; Mad Max: Fury Road is the kick to teeth with unreal special effects, intense action, and easy to follow plot. This movie never had a dull moment and its guaranteed to be an essential when purchasing your next Blu-Ray to impress your friends and family with your new TV. 10/10

I cannot express how much I love this film. I'm a huge fan of the earlier films and was not disappointed by this new version of Max. As has been explained in countless reviews the amazing action scenes and vehicle chases are made even more amazing when you realize that the film perfectly blends CGI and practical effects to the point that it's hard to tell what is CGI. This is easily one of the best action movies of the year.

I already own the blu-ray steelbook, but I still wanted the 4K. This is such a great movie, with plenty of action and stunts. I miss Mel but everyone is great in the film. As always the direction is superb. The steelbook is really nice, but really nothing new in the extras. Still a must own for your collection.

This is one of the disk you should reach for when you want to show off your home theatre setup to friends and family. Both the 2D and 3D video quality is fantastic. The colors are brilliant, and the inky blacks create beautifully vivid contrast. The Dolby Atmos mix and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound track is also as good as it gets. Even if your system isn't Atmos compatible, this disc is going to look and sound amazing.

This is a non-stop action ride that goes all out. Whether you've seen the previous Mad Max films or not, this is its own take on the infamous character portrayed previously by Mel Gibson. Now, Tom Hardy takes the reigns of Max as he shares the screen with strong survivor, Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron. This may look to be a male dominated film, but the women make it known they are no damsels in distress. They will fight every moment on screen to survive. The chase scenes are some of the best you'll see on screen today, making you wish director George Miller would do more.

It is difficult to describe this movie, but know that it is excellent. It is an incredibly original, post apocalyptic chase film with images both dazzling and disturbing. The heart and soul of the movie is about women protecting other women, with Max as our way into the insane world. I loved this movie with no prior viewings of the original Mad Max films, so anyone can enjoy this. Just know it is a wild, original ride!

This Blu-ray is a non-stop audio and video thrill ride. The Dolby Atmos Audio is nothing short of astounding. If you have a Dolby Atmos home theater speaker setup, this is a demo disc for the ages. The video and the 3D especially are spectacular. If anyone doubts the merits of 3D on a movie, this will change your mind. If you like the Mad Max series, this ranks as one of the best and this Blu-ray release is spectacular.
