While Mad Max may be the title character, Fury Road is very much Furiosa's film. Charlize Theron shows that she can be as tough and strong a figure as anyone that has graced the silver screen. Beautiful, funny, and a marvelous actress, is there anything this woman cannot pull off? Tom Hardy does a good job taking on the role of Mad Max, but there really is not much for him to do in the film in terms of acting. His lines barely are much more than a grunt, and he rarely is ever the focus of the film. Nicholas Hoult is much more noticeable as the the War Boy, Nux. Hoult provides a very good supporting performance that really demonstrates how Immortan Joe has shaped his army. Now the real standout of this film is the beautiful simplicity of the action. This film could be seen as a 90 minute car chase that is engaging from beginning to end. From the amazing practical FX to the crazy car designs this is an amazingly well crafted film. This film definitely is among the best of 2015, and will likely stand up as one of the all time great car-action films.

To best understand Miller's desire for Fury Road is to first know that it was done without a script (up until Warner Bros. required one). Yes, you heard me correctly. WITHOUT A SCRIPT. Miller imagined the entire film through tens of thousands of storyboards. This makes the small use of dialogue understandable and reminds us of the IMAGES he envisioned in his head. The beautiful, raw images we see brought to life throughout the film. The atmosphere and world he dreamed of for almost 20 years finally brought to us in an overwhelming fashion. You can't tell me that your lips didn't feel dry and your body didn't feel hot as they hauled through the desert. I got totally immersed in the atmosphere and it felt so original. Quite frankly, a post-apocalyptic world I actually fear. But, let's talk about something else. The action. Miller's stunts in Fury Road were unprecedented, even in the current film era of superheroes, military warfare, and badassery. Even just an hour in, you think the action can't get any better than at that moment. But it does! Every stunt trumps the last! And it's all very creative and very convincing. I highly recommend you watch the special features on the stuntwork, because it's downright insane. The stunts don't feel repetitive and they surely don't feel fake. No overdoing of strong melee combat or use of firearms. It's fast, hard-hitting, and most of all - creative. Keep that in mind when watching Mad Fax: Fury Road. You'll surprise yourself at how unexpected it can be. 4/5. Beautiful, raw, real, creative.

Continues the Mad Max story quite well. A future that seems all too possible.

This movie is a rumble maniac dream. The plot sucks, but the sound of beating drums and rumbling engine throughout is just out of control.

A 4k Movie that really showcases what 4k can look like. To me, Mad Max Fury Road should be the benchmark to what other 4K movies should be compared to. You wouldn't think a movie that takes place in a desert could be so beautiful-wrong. I suggested to my wife that we should watch this movie, and she reluctantly agreed. Mad Max Fury Road is not a typical movie she would normally watch-much less enjoy. She was floored by its beauty, and went on to say "I get it now" when discussing 4k.

It was a great remake of the original series. Total non-stop action.
