Pricey, but a great keyboard for the newer Macs
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the sleek design, the light weight and how the keys feel when pressed — soft to the touch and very quiet. Expensive, but you get what you pay for and Apple products tend to last. I'm currently using this with an older MacBook Pro (2012 Retina) and quickly realized that some of the features on the keyboard are not compatible, which is not surprising. Things like volume control and most if not all of the "upper keys". This keyboard is designed for newer Macs with Apple silicon using macOS 11.4 or later. I will soon be using my newest MacBook Pro M1 with this keyboard and expect no compatibility issues.

Usual Apple Quality & Style, Nothing Groundbreakin
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say? It’s a keyboard. Slick stylings as usual with Apple. I like the Touch ID button. Since I work from home and use external monitors, it makes it quicker to log in or anything I need my password for. As for purchasing from Best Buy, you’re better off going into the retail store vs online ordering. They mailed the keyboard as is in original box with a label slapped on it. Could have easily been stolen, not to mention the potential damage. Box definitely arrived dirty and beat up, but the keyboard was thankfully fine. A call to customer service to complain was brushed off.

Magic Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the larger keyboard and additional number pad on the side. Makes it easier to input information. The touch key doesn't open from the log in screen, but if the computer goes into standby the touch key will work to open the computer back up. Over all the keypad works well.

Worth getting
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it. Makes easy use to unlock my MacBook Pro from this keyboard as my laptop is on a stand. Overall good construction. Keys are smooth with a little resistance which I prefer. They are quite keys, which I prefer. Battery life is extremely long! I’ve only charged it once so far.

Don’t budget around when it comes to your keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting out with a non-brand keyboard as a way to save money turned out to be a non-starter. Slow reaction time, driver updates was too much for me to invest in since have little to create and write. I finally overcame my hesitation and purchased a branded keyboard. What a difference. My productivity doubled. “Too old for short cuts, Just need it to work when I need it.” My only wish is that the keyboard could have a slightly greater incline to fit my hands.

Works with cheapo iMac
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that it has the number key and fingerprint reader. An upgrade from the stock one, though they still feel super shallow and not too responsive.

My keyboard has the special touch.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s always better having a keyboard directly in from of a larger screen. Especially with the number keypad, wireless, and finger touch. Feels nice and responsive.

Best Mac Keboard for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this unit Magic Keyboard to analyze and test it for ease of use with a Mac. I have to say that I'm impressed with the performance. I haven't had any issues it looks and feels better tha any keyboard that I 've used with a Mac yet. I do like the fingerprint login feature. Also it has a USB cable to keep the unit charged instead of replacing batteries. Even better the black color keeps the keyboard blacked out when studio lights are on, as well as hiding smudges. If you are on the fence about which Mac keyboard to purchase, don't sleep on this one. It gets the job done.

Top notch!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome product. I love the apple keyboard much more than my cheaper Logitech, but in the end the price was too high for a keyboard I use to sustain life of laptop.

It's slightly better than OK
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To save wear and tear on my M1 MacBook Pro keyboard, I picked up this Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and now keep my MacBook closed and protected w/a docking station. My initial impression was that the 'feel' learning curve would be slight, these are both Apple keyboards after all, right? Wrong. The Magic Keyboard keys are spaced ever so slightly different than on my MacBook and the feel is quite a bit less gratifying to type on overall. My WPM has dropped significantly and my errors are about 10x what they used to be - even after 2 weeks of use. I'll keep trying to use it because I really need the touch ID button for ease of use but so far I'm not particularly impressed. It's a better than average keyboard I think, but it's not clicking with me as a decade-long Macbook keyboard user. And don't even get me started on the price. Logitech sells better keyboards for half this $179 nonsense.

Excellent keyboard except for one thing....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the general feel of this keyboard and love the fact that it work seamlessly with universal control. Unfortunately, it lays flat unless you buy a keyboard lift to angle it to improve wrist comfort.
