||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased a 5 series TCL 4K TV and wanted to experience true 4K from a 4k HD DVD. I purchased this Magnavox as I have owned many Magnavox products in the past and have never had an issue with any of them. I connected my new DVD player to my 4K TV with a brand new 4K compatible HDMI cord. There was sound but no video. I tried other HDMI inputs on my TV and went so far as to buy a newer 4K compatible HDMI cord. My conclusion was the player is defective. I thought about asking for an exchange, however this Magnavox player doesn't have wireless, only an Ethernet connection. I'm really not in a rush to buy another so I'll wait for a sale. I can't in good faith recommend this player as I wasn't able to watch a movie and see how the picture was on my TV. I would buy another Magnavox product as there will always be defective products with any brand. I was very pleased with Best Buy's return policy and procedure.
