It’s okay for under $100

I used a 4K hdmi cable to hookup to my Samsung UHD HDR TV....and yet my PS3 gives a better detailed picture than this Magnavox player. I haven’t tried how an actual 4K Blu-ray Disc looks, but as I already stated, PS3 plays Blu-rays and DVD’s better!

Simple 4KUHD Player

Great for Connecting 4K UHD Blu Ray Player

The only problem I had was the need to cut off the RCA connectors from the Bose wires to expose the bare speaker wires. All the new amplifiers have the bare speaker wire connectors. However, the system works great.

Doesn't auto shutoff otherwise works fine

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this player to use in my child's room to allow them to have a show on while they went to sleep. Despite setting the device controls to allow the TV to turn it on and off, the player doesn't shut off when the TV does and also doesn't have an "idle time" shutoff so there has been times where it spins a disk for days and days even though it isn't in use. I've checked for multiple firmware updates and still haven't found a fix. Due to this, I've had to open it up and clean off the lens to get it to read disks. Based on this experience, I'd recommend to spend a little extra and get something nicer.
