I remember seeing the original Disney tale of "Sleeping Beauty". This is, indeed a re-telling of the story. Many twists and turns throughout the movie to throw those who remember the original for a loop. Cool movie overall.

A fantastic movie that takes a closer look a a classic Disney villainess and the reasons behind her evil. The end result is a fantastic adventure film. Our whole family loves this movie, I definitely recommend it to anyone.

I for one, really enjoyed the twist of this family favorite, a nice touch and outlook from a different view. After watching this in theaters with the family, the wife and kids couldn't wait for it to be released on blu ray

Disney did a great spin on a traditional story. I think this shows that some villains can start good, but circumstances causes them to go bad. Just make sure that your child is slightly older and can handle the combat.

Maleficent has always been my favorite Disney villain so when I first say this version I was very skeptical. I really loved this retelling. I haven't had a chance to watch the extras yet but the movie itself is a must see.

Maleficent is a really good movie. A little dark, but Angelina Jolie does a great job acting as both evil and good. The special effects in the movie are fantastic. I would definitely recommend to anybody to see this movie.

Actually a watchable movie for the whole family. My 4 year old daughter actually liked it and watched it a few times. Digital copy is always nice, as usual audio and video quality is great as expected for blu-ray.

I only saw the second one because i heard the second one has one HELL of a third act so i hope this one is still good or not either way.

This is a logica, fun, dynamic means of giving us the Sleeping Beauty story as well as adding new layers to it. Maleficent and Diaval had a great chemistry which made the movie a good, different imagining of the old tale.

I loved this movie. It is a twist on a fairytale that makes sense. There was a good story line with a good balance of magical/fantsy aspects and action. the special effects are great and don't overpower the story.

Maleficent is a great family movie that offers young kids and adults a great story filled with magic, darkness, love and hope. Angelina Jolie shines in this movie.

This is a great family Movie. I recommend it to anyone that likes to gather and watch movies as a family. I wouldn't recommend it for smaller children since it does have some possible scary image etc for smaller children.

I saw this on a plane trip and thought it was perfect for my wife and grand daughter. Once I got the Bluray, all of my local family was watching it again, and again, and.... Realy great family movie, Disney does it again!

First time my family and I saw this movie we cried but love the movie

An amazing storyline, love the effects and Angelina is amazing. Costumes and designs are above approach. Brought the kid out of me again and again.

Took the granddaughters to see the movie, can't wait until next weekend so the gran girls and I can have a movie weekend. Popcorn. Pizza, and there favorite drink Iced tea... Love these chilly weekends with my gran kids.

Our family loved this new take on a Disney classic. Angelina and the rest of the cast were fantastic. It left us wanting to see not only the new live action films coming out, but also the classic animated films as well.

The movie was the prequel to sleeping beauty, was imaginative and creatively done. Tells why she did what she did and how she tried to correct it. It might be a little scary for littler children but good for older ones.

The film is beautiful to look at, to begin with. I normally don't like Angelina Jolie on film (she comes across as cold & aloof) but that screen presence works for her in this film, even giving her some "laugh" moments.

I questioned this at first but then I saw it and was totally amazed and impressed. My kids absolutely love the way this story was told. It has sad parts, funny parts, and happy parts. This is a great movie for all ages.
