If you love ABBA and the Mamma Mia film, you will definitely love this film. I saw the movie twice and I couldn't wait to get the dvd. There were a lot of familiar and not so familiar songs. The cast was excellent and they were able to incorporate the ABBA songs so well into the movie.

This movie is a combination prequel and sequel. Of course it if full of incredible ABBA music, and they did a good job of showing Donna's younger years. The casting for her two friends (Rosie and Tanya) was fantastic, and Lily James (young Donna) impressed us all with her singing.

The best songs were repeated from the first movie. Expected more from Cher being in this movie.

I actually purchased two copies of this movie. One in regular packing and this one in a "Steel Box" (which is only available at Best Buy) set. Once I received it, I immediately opened it up and watched it. I saw it at the theater twice. Such phenomenal casting, great music and story.

My husband bought this using his best buy account and reviewed it, then we had our accounts merged, and all his old purchases are showing up on MY review page, so I'm re-reviewing so-to-speak to get the points.

I thought this sequel was every bit as good as the original! Maybe a little more serious at times, but also a little more humorous at times. It features some of Abbas older and less well known songs, and it was great to hear/see them on the big screen. Enjoyed every minute of it!

It would be impossible to top the original. Still, there is lots of fun to be had with this sequel/prequel. Of course we miss Meryl (her one scene is very touching though) and the storyline is a little less abundant than before. But the choreography of Dancing Queen and Cher's Fernando make up for a lot. And this one is in stunning 4K!

I like the Mamma Mia series. I purchased this for a gift. Unfortunately I could not get it to work on my older Blu-ray player. I had to purchase a new player to get it to work. Apparently they have made changes to Blu-Ray players over the years.

Good gift idea for your significant other who likes musicals and so so acting.

This movie was great! The story line really fills in a lot of the questions I had from the first movie. The songs were fantastic. I loved the acting and they did a great job picking the actors for the movie. I liked this movie ever bit as much as the first one!

I love the Abba music in this movie ! They play unknown songs too . It is so much fun to watch. Cher and Meryl Streep and Andy Garcia and Pierce Brosnan and the Entire cast were fantastic !! That was the reason I looked forward to a second Mama Mia movie !!!:-)

What can I say, I didn't watch it. I bought it for the wife and kids and they absolutely love these Abba musicals. It was the centerpiece for a couple of sleep over parties for the girls and a lot of goofy sing and dance alongs. If they're happy, I'm happy.

A worthy successor to the original. Glad the writers were able to bring the original talent back and add to it with some fine actors. Don't forget the finale and additional treat at the end of the movie and credits.

ok movie, wasn't as good as the first. 4k movie didn't seem better then bluray.

I only bought this movie only because my wife insisted....on an otherwise boring evening she asked me to play it and we watched it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and he extras were really fun rehashing the way this film worked off of the original is was a great sequence that told you the back story to the original.....

I must admit that I have always been a fan of ABBA. When the new video of "Mama MIa" the sequel became available, I simply had to have it. Ten years ago I also purchased the original "Mama MIa". If you are a fan of ABBA's music, then this is a must have.

Both of these movies are a lot of fun with great acting, wonderful music/songs, beautiful scenery, and great romantic endings. If you like ABBA music, you should really enjoy these movies. For me, 4 out of 5 stars is very good, not just good. 5 stars is for my all time favorites and this one isn't quite there.

Most of the main characters from the original are back. It took a little adaptation to keep up with the constant cutting back and forth over 30 years in time. Lily James (as the young Donna) was great. Negligible plot. Cher looked like a department store mannequin. (Sounded good for a septuagenarian, though.)

My daughter loved the original and loves the sequel as well. Honestly, it makes me cry every time I watch it but I guess that can be considered a hallmark of a good movie so it does what it is intended to do.

The visual scope of this Blue ray is more than equal to theatre quality. There are extras that, just as the original give back stories to the production. Transfer quality is excellent. If you're a Mama Mia fan, add this to complete the story line.
