I love the original Superman 1 & 2 movies, and the 3rd one had some great moments :) Superman Returns was good, but it felt like I was watching the first one with better special effect. It was a great tribute to the Richard Donner's films, but we were ready for a new outtake on Superman. And here comes Zack Snyder who not only hit the ball but knocked it out of the park! The cast in the movie were fantastic, the imaging and special effect was awesome and the story was genius on the Man of Steel mythos. The Blu-Ray extras has a great tribute to the 75 year anniversary to Superman and loads more that will be as entertaining as the film itself. It truly is a must buy!

I enjoyed this movie a lot though it is not perfect. The CGI aspects of the film are spectacular but they are also the reason I gave the film a four star review instead of a five star rating. I actually enjoyed the storyline and the acting a lot. A top notch cast helps make this film really good. There are tremendous CGI graphics in the movie that really make the film an action packed adventure. Unfortunately we may have arrived at a time where directors are trying to overwhelm the audience with CGI at the expense of enhancing the script and interaction of the characters. This movie could have been reduced by 20 minutes and been just as good but the continuing fight scenes just took over the film.

If you are a DC fan and haven't seen this movie you're doing yourself a disservice.. The best superman story ever told. He's such a hard character to write being OP and having been around so long that people have a certain way they see him. Zach doesn't care, and it allowed him to make superman actually feel like he grew up on earth. Oh yeah, henry cavil is tye walking embodiment of Clark Kent's superman.

If you're looking for a big blockbuster movie about Superman, this is your movie. Purists have taken issue with some of the decisions, but there is no reason most folks wouldn't like this. This is the best Superman movie to date. The action delivers. This is not some origin story where there's only one medium sized action sequence. This is as epic as Superman is. Blu-ray looks great. There is a bit of grain as intended by the director but it gives it a nice cinematic feel. Only criticism is the studio's decision to stack the blu-ray discs on one post. I know it saves money but it's not worth risking scratches on the discs. Otherwise, highly recommended.

All in all a good movie to watch, extras were nice, and - let's face it - you know what you are in for when you get a Superman flick. This one is s bit different from past releases and you may want to keep this one away from the younger fans in the house. The surge in the popularity of 'comic book movies' the past 5-10 years has forced DC to rethink the way that the Superman franchise is handled. This movie was gritty, like the newer Batman series, and caused a bit of a stir in the Superman = Boyscout crowd. I liked the effects, and the action and was able to overlook the retread of the origin story. When a character has been around for over 70 years, some updating needs to take place.

After such a long absence of "Superman" movies, the public received "Superman Returns" a few years ago. A pretty lackluster attempt at rebooting the character. So now, we have a RE-reboot, and this one appears to be sticking. While there is plenty of debate online about what was done with the character in this iteration, and this is certainly not the best superhero movie of all time, it does have some great things going for it: some of the acting and plot points are very powerful, and above all else, THIS actor is the only one so far to look like an actual super man. I'd recommend this for fans of the genre, and if you come across it for a good sale price, there's no reason not to pick it up.

Zack Snyder's godly visuals come to life with this stellar 4K disc! From the muted tones scene in the Metropolis/Smallville sequences to the earthy tones in heartwarming moments to the straight-up BEAUTIFUL artsy colors in plenty of other shots, there is much to appreciate with the HDR application in this movie! Combine all of that with a bombastic and destructive Dolby Atmos track, and you've got yourself a worthy addition to your 4K collection!

I love this movie. Henry Cavill is perfect as Supes. What this movie has that prior Superman movies didnt have that told the origins was a much richer visit with Krypton, its vibrant technology, and ultimate destruction that resulted in Jor-El sending Cal-El to earth. The Kryptonian invaders were brilliantly executed by the actors that portrayed them. Loved Zod and Faora. I wish Nam-Ek would been in more scenes but he was cool nonetheless. Critics be damned.... we cant all be in the pockets of the magic kingdom and their light colorful comic movie adaptations. Watch it frequently. I do.

It’s a great movie and looks better but compared to new movies in 4K and even old movies that have been upgraded to 4k there’s no comparison it’s an upgrade but to me not done as well as others.

The new and recent Superman I watch on Netflix and loved the movie but nothing beats watching the movie on Blu-Ray Disc. My home theatre system which I brought from Best buy and Sony Hi-Def TV which was also purchased at Best Buy beats going to the theatre in sound and quality. I had to lower the volume due my neighbors were banging on the pipes to lessen the noise. Great plot and I adore the new Lois Lane and Lana Lang. Definitely sequel guaranteed. His Clark Kent look exactly like the comics and comes really close to the Late Chistopher Reeves. My highest recommendation to buy this disc in Blu-ray.

The older superman movies were great and as a kid I remember seeing them with my father. Got my imagination going thinking how awesome of a super hero Superman is and I know some people can relate. Remember the towels and blankets we used as capes? Anyway the newer superman movies never really gave me that same feeling. Then the man of steel came out. I actually borrowed it from my father in law. Omg I loved it. About three quarters through the movie my youngest came home and sat with me and watched in awe. That's the Superman I remember. A must buy. He asked me if he was real.

I never quite understood why this movie got so much hate, sure it's different than the other Superman movies, but I think it's fantastic on it's own merits. It has an amazing opening sequence, another phenomenal score by Han Zimmer, beautiful visual style by Zack Snyder, amazing action and a great cast all over. Henry Cavill is a great Superman, my personal favorite, whilst I will say Christopher Reeves is my favorite Clark Kent, not critisizing Henry, I just don't think anyone can top Reeve's Clark for me. P.S. Faora is pure awesomeness.

Its a good movie at a great price; 4 discs + UV digital copy @ $9.99, cant beat that. But beware the link (I guess its through flixter) to redeem UV code is expired and does not work. The only way that I find out (AND IT WORKS WITH LOTS OF OLD MOVIES WITH EXPIRED UV CODES) to redeem UV digital copy is through VUDU. Go to VUDU and select redeem digital copy and it will take you to a new screen where you can type the movie name and then it ask you to put the redemption code and you are good to go. Besides that, its a great purchase at a great price.

Good movie at a great price. I had to exchange my first set due to getting two special feature Blu Ray discs. Was a Christmas gift disappointment and cost me extra in gas and time to exchange it. Opened it in the store and found 3 more with the same problem. Fourth had the full monty and I was off. A good movie that I have watched several times via ULTRAVIOLET on my Tablet and TV via VuDu link. The Blu Ray quality is very good with this. I really liked the way the Superman franchise was rebooted. Some of it parallels the comics, mini-series and other movies with a refresh needed from the last Superman movie, which was pretty blah...

Man Of Steel is the greatest superhero movie for me outside of Thor to drop last year, Henry Cavill does an amazing job as Clark Kent/Superman, when krypton is doomed Superman's parents send him to earth to change what they couldn't do with Krypton, on earth Clark grows up struggling with who he is and how he has these abilities, eventually General Zod comes to earth to get revenge from Clarks father years ago, Amy Adams does a spectacular job as Louis Lane and the fight scenes are abs olutely a rush! Man of Steel is a must own and has brought faith and hope to the Superman films.

"Man Of Steel" stands out for a few reasons: 1 - Henry Cavill stands as the best Superman we've seen since Christopher Reeves. I literally can't imagine a modern day actor better suited for the role. 2 - What MoS does so superbly, that other Superman films gloss over, or ignore altogether, is highlight the fact that Kal El is an alien. Despite his physical appearance, Clark is not human, and for once, he gets treated that way onscreen. 3 - Superman kills...FINALLY!

I will not be reviewing the actual storyline but rather the video quality of this 4K Blu Ray disc. It contains stunning clarity of of color. The scenes portrayed in one the last scenes where the buildings were collapsing is very detailed. Especially when explosions and debris is being shown. You can see Superman's suit is not just a solid blue color but you can see all the detailed pattern that really exposes the suit real well. The red cape is full of detail as like a flag being blown through a calm wind.

Like most other people, I had very high hopes, but was sorely disappointed by Bryan Singer's version of Superman. Man of Steel was the polar opposite for me. I had lowered expectations going in, with Zack Snyder having just made Sucker Punch (really Zack?!), but was very pleasantly surprised. Even though it is mostly a mindless action flick, it's a great mindless action flick. The co-stars have been very well selected as Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Lawrence Fishburne, Diane Lane, and Amy Adams each shine. I'd certainly recommend this movie if you have a good sound system and a 3D TV as it makes great use of both.

I saw this movie in the theater and really like it...until the drawn out---destroy every building and car in sight lonnnng ending. Now upon further review, it is a quality representation of Superman-the ending is still a bit extended, but it does work better on a smaller screen. Henry Cavill makes a proper square jawed Superman and the story works and is well written. Great blu-Ray picture and sound that will blow you back in your seat (like the old Memorex ads). Available at discount prices---so if you're a super hero and action fan-make this a part of your collection. Recommended

I got this to upgrade my Bluray Man of Steel to 4K. I expected this to include the Digital Copy (since it says that Digital Copy is included). But this does NOT include a Digital Copy. I even contacted WB Digital Copy Support and informed me that the Digital Copy was removed from most of their 4K movies. What? I still kept the disc because I wanted the 4K movie, but disappointed this is falsely marketed as including Digital Copy.
