I had been told the story line was poor, I thought the opposite. There were just enough "flashbacks" to explain what had transpired in the past to get us up to date on the present storyline. I thought the acting was very good, great characters and very good cast. I thought a good update to the original movie and great special effects. The General Zod antagonist was very well done!

I own multiple copies of Man of Steel on Blu-ray, but when this was released I couldn't resist grabbing it. I do wish the artwork resembled Henry Cavill a bit more, but it's awesome regardless! If you're a fan of Man of Steel I would definitely recommend picking this up! I mean it's a STEELbook after all =)

This is a great Superman movie to be added to the franchise, much better than the tragedy that was called Superman Returns. For the inner geek, this is loaded with little DC Easter eggs. The acting from Cavill is excellent and i think Crowe and Lane do an excellent job as well. Humanizing Kal-El was a a perfect way to bring the superhero to life. Highly recommend this film!

Hoping for a sequel, I believe with Henry Cavill we have a good superman within time he will become great. But it all the depends on the decision makers. The movie was very well done, great action and story. The 4k wasn't that much of an improvement from the standard bluray. But overall a really good superman movie that again deserves a true sequel.

Great movie and plot. It's a pretty long movie but very worth it. If you like super man then I suggest you buy this movie! Two thumbs up from me. Also buy it on blue ray if you can. I give this movie a 12/10. Henry cavill and Amy Adams are awesome. If you are into these types of movies then I suggest you buy this. Looks like they are going to be makin a man of steel 2.

This version may look deceiving. At first glance you may think it's a cartoon movie. But it is Zack Snyder's live action version. The Superman artwork on the front displays in color, and the back is b&w. And there is a nice (artwork) surprise inside as well. Another cool steelbook collectable. Grab this one while you can!

This feature has a fantastic premise regarding the man in blue. It has several references to the Smallville series, and has a tougher then usual Lois Lane. Also in the feature is Kevin Costner, whom does a great job as Clark's father. It isn't the perfect Superman feature, but it has a lot to offer, and you should pick it up and give it a try..

This movie to me is one of my favorite superhero movie because to me it makes Superman one of the most OP superhero’s out grounded, Also I liked where Snyder’s vision was going. WB made a mistake in canceling it. #RestoretheSnyderverse

If you can manage to suspended your nerd rage long enough, you might enjoy a Summer pop corn muncher trying to take itself seriously. Plot holes and character inconsistencies with the icons we are used to abound, and an over all somber tone can ruin a purists viewing. But plenty of us have Waited a long time for superman to get into a fist fight worth watching.

If you're a Superma/comic fan then you will enjoy this film than the one that precedes it(Superman Returns). While still having a bit of some comical moments here and there, this film has a dramatic approach to our caped hero that we haven't seen before; and its about time. It shows a sensitive yet strong Clark Kent aka Superman. Enjoy it- worth every penny. I watched it 3 times within

Where it all started. If you're a fan of Superman and Zack Snyder, then you'll love this film. Movie is great. Picture quality is great. This will make a great addition to your physical collection. #RestoreTheSnyderverse

I never watched a lot of Superman movies, but this was a very solid take on the origins of Superman. It brings a lot of questions, like how would humans react to a being like him, and the consideration of what his presence would bring about. A lot of deep character examination in this film, which I think is missing in a lot of these superhero action movies.

I'm old enough to remember the 1978 original and I've seen the old movie serials from the 50s but this one is the best for the this generation...no shortage of character driven story or action... everything the character's creators envisioned 80 years ago and more

Man of Steel. Saw in the theater, but left with a shock & awe kind of feeling since it is SO different from the other superman movies from way back when. This one had a pretty detailed and darker tone about the story line and visually so I knew I'd have to watch it again. Bought it on blu ray 3D and loved it. It's my favorite superman movie now!

By far the best Superman movie to be delivered to the big screen. Henry Cavill does the most amazing job as the Man Of Steel. The movie flows well, and the action scenes are amazing. Very well casted, and this is the beginning of a solid franchise, that will always be remembered as the first of the Justice League connected movies.

This has flaws but is easily the best superman film to date. It has several improvements over the other movies: interesting interpretation of krypton, believable noncheesy villains, realistic action. Decisions about Lois' character and actions solved a big problem of the superman story: how can a top notch reporter who knows Clark and superman be so stupid she can't see the obvious?

I know this film got mixed reviews. I know Amy Adams is a bit frumpy as Lois Lane. I know it takes a turn that purists find completely unacceptable. But the film is so well made, the effects seamless and thrilling, the characters so emotionally round and real, that I could not help but love it. The last half hour is an absolute blast. Plus Diane Lane. I mean, what's not to love?

Great upgrade from the blu ray and to the collection! A great way to introduce this character as well. The picture sound and story truly immerse you into this universe so the next time you're at Best Buy pick up this 4k movie you won't regret it!

And yet another Superman movie. A great update though. Brings Superman into the 21st century with a good back story and story line. A grittier version of the character that will hopefully help bring the DC universe to the big screen with the success that Marvel has had. This is a must have movie for the superhero movie fan.

This adaptation gives the viewer more insight on the internal conflict from Krypton and Kal-El's upbringing on Earth before he decided that he needed to use his powers to protect humans. Great cinematography, but I often asked myself when the fight scenes would actually end. I guess fights just take a long time when the villain has equal powers.
