I was really impressed by the movie, even though I'm not a big Superman fan. There were enough light-hearted moments, and the plot moved along at a good pace. I didn't get a chance to see this in the theaters, but with the movie money for Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice, this deal was too good to pass up.

Henry Caville did a good job as Superman. The story definitely highlighted important parts of his life, but a lot of the action seemed repetitive. How many buildings did Superman and Zod need to smash each other through before such a quick end? Romance between Lois Lane and Superman could've been longer and more convincing too.

The last superman movie, Superman Returns was a good ending to the old Christopher Reeves superman series. This is an official reboot, and done masterfully to the digital quality all around. The story was adjusted to give the Krypton/Jor-el/Zod story a bit more background, and gave the Zod character greater purpose. Super-job.

“On my planet, [gesturing to S symbol on his chest], it means hope.” The one that restarted the mythological granddaddy of all the superheroes, still worth a watch. And the 4K picture shows off is cinematography better then ever before.

Good back story and childhood flashbacks of superman make this one the best every. Normally superman is boring to me cause he is too powerful. Its the same thing usually, take a hostage endanger the life of others to slow superman down so your evil doer can gain traction. Not to much of that going on in this version.

Finally a decent modern/darker Superman movie. Never liked the Reeves, ones even though I'm a child of the 80's. The Nolan Batman trilogy is still a step up from here, but this was a great film, with excellent battle sequences. It really felt like super beings fighting it out when Supes and Zod went at it in downtown Metropolis. Fun stuff.

Really enjoyed this update on the Superman character and movies. Great performances by main actors especially Michael Shannon’s General Zod, played with the right amount of controlled craziness. Very nice picture and sound. Give it a watch!

2/3 of the movie was good, but the end of the movie was disappointing. Maybe the sequel will be better?? I am tired of movies that portray a city under attack and only 20-40 people are running away. The special effects were excellent. The ending... Not so great. It was entertaining enough to keep me watching until the end. Rent do not buy this movie.

Seen all the other Superman Reboots and this is the best. Loved the plot and the format of the movie. Didn't spend an excessive amount of time dealing with his childhood (Thank Smallville TV show for that)! Action was great as well as seamless CG effects.

Love superhero movies; never a huge fan of Superman movies though. They always seemed too cheesy, Superman too goody goody. But Man of Steel is much darker take on the familiar story, filled with self doubt, angst and darkness. IMO, makes for a much more rounded superhero. Plus it has great action sequences and character development. Great film.

Tired of the re-telling of origin stories. This has a different twist. I was just glad there was no kryptonite. I'm so sick of it always being available (you'd think that you could pick some up at your local store). This is why I don't like Dawn of Justice (that and a phone book worth of other reasons).

Critics don't know what they're talking about: this is a great movie. It certainly has it's issues (like any film) but honestly, it's the best Superman film we've had since the first Christopher Reeve film. Yeah, there's a lot of property damage and destruction but truthfully, the film holds up and keeps you entertained.

It is worth seeing. But I Was disappointed in Superman getting beat up through the whole movie. And I liked the last actor that played Superman better. I don't go to see Superman just barley win the day. And don't like seeing Superman battling an enemy with the same or superior powers, I prefer to see Superman like he was depicted by George Reeves.

This is definitely no Richard Donner movie, but it was far better than Bryan Singers attempt. Overall it is really enjoyable, and by far the best film for this version of Superman. (better than BvS and Justice League.) The only criticism is that last scene with Zod.

I'm no movie critic. I watch for pure entertainment. You will get Superman's back story of his journey from Krypton to Earth. You will also get to see him fight off bad guy General Zod from Krypton. I enjoyed it as a long-time Superman fan. It definitely has a different feel from anything else on the big or small screen that has been done before.

After watching Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, I wanted to watch Superman again. 4K Blu-ray looks great and in retrospect, I found that many of the plot elements in Superman were applicable to the character development that you see in the later movies.

Man of steel, despite it being 3 years old, still looked great. The HDR made his suit look very detailed and you do not want to get off your seat during the action. I loved this movie and is part of my collector's series. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that loves superhero movies!

After loosing Christopher Reeves, I though no one could possibly fill the role of Superman; but I was wrong! I am happily to say that we do have someone that Christopher would be proud of as his successor!! I was very teary eyed while watching this movie! YES!! I would unquestionably recommend this movie to everyone!!!

Man of Steel is the perfect reboot for Superman. It shows the back story of his home planet. Flashbacks of him struggling with his power as a child. It shows everything with and without the cape. Action in this movie is amazing and you see Superman like no other version.

The packaging on this item was very sharp and impressive. The quality of 4K on my TV was not as amazing as newer movies. I have noticed that since 4K is a fairly new technology, most older movies that have been either remastered or converted to 4K are not as good as newer films. Still, the product was very good.
