Revamped superman is a pretty good film and looks excellent in 4k hdr.

Many people have been waiting for a great Superman movie for a new generation and didn't quite get that with Superman Returns. Man of Steel finally delivers a great modern telling of Superman and breathes new life to an all time classic story and character. The acting was superb and I was amazed by the portrayal of Superman by Henry Cavill. The most amazing part of the movie was Russell Crowe's performance as Jor-El and Zod was an amazing and believable villian to Superman. I unfortunately was not pleased with choice of Amy Adams as Lois Lane even though I do like her as an actress...I just don't think it was a good fit. I know some questioned how the movie ended but I thought it was the best way to show the morality that Superman has to battle within himself and how and why he chooses to be the 'boyscout" and the troubles he has keeping that up. I'm hoping that more of this new version of Superman can be developed and revealed in the upcoming sequel. This is a def must watch for any comic book fan and any fan of Superman himself.

I’m so glad and happy with this product. But I’m also mad because I first bought the ultra 4K version for 19.99 with the digital copy, no digital copy in that one. Ordered the other 4K version, also not digital. Both 4K versions was suppose to have digital, but nope. So I decided to order just the dvd, i purchased the digital copy from Vudu b4 I received my order. When I did get the Blu-ray my first thought was let me check the inside. I paid 7.99 for just the blue ray, and I got the blue ray, dvd and the digital copy. I’m very happy with it, just mad that it took me to get the one that didn’t say digital included to actually get the digital one.

I thought it was time to remake the Superman franchise, and this was an -EXCELLENT- start, in my opinion. There's lots of action, and I love the fact that the Daily Planet was -NOT- the center of this story. Learning more about Krypton and its technology/culture was amazing. Jor-El (Kal's dad) was no punk, and the fact that he remained a central figure in the movie at appropriate points was a great choice, and it added a lot of value. I hope they are able to work his character into future sequels to this movie. Finally, Lois is no punk, either. I like that! She's not too nosy, and not at all helpless. Very independent, but uses good judgement and is not entirely selfish and single-minded where chasing down stories is concerned. They seem to have portrayed her as a person who knows how to be in the right place at the right time, but has a conscience. Please check this movie out if you get the chance! It's really entertaining!

Going into this and know Christopher Nolan freshly done with Dark Knight trilogy is attached to the movie I could not wait to see it. Oddly enough we missed it in theaters and while I usually download movie to see if I like it before I buy it, I knew I would love this one. I just didn't know how great it would be. Featuring the best villain of the year in my humble opinion ("I will find him!!!" still gives me goose bumps) and the most amazing sound work I have seen everything is epic in this great movie. Word epic gets thrown around a lot, but here it really means something. If you have solid enough HDTV and amazing surround sound (bass will be heavily used all throughout the movie=P) you will appreciate how much cinematography has come. I can't recommend this movie enough and can only hope that they can keep up the pace and make one great movie after another to hopefully round up another great trilogy reboot=)
