When this movie came out, it was very divisive. Some loved it, some really hated it. Those that hated it hated it because they miss the old tooney-colored, underroos-wearing Superman with the cowlick and the dorkiness about him that masked the hero underneath. I get it. But honestly, THIS is the best version. It was dark and atmospheric and gone are the ridiculous glasses and underwear. Plus, great story, flawed as it was, but still entertaining. I guess you could say it's Superman for adults.

saw it opening day with some friends and wasn't hopping for much but i was wrong. It had everything you would want in a superhero movie and more. cant wait for it to come out already so i can try it on my new 4k tv.

Technically speaking, this is a great blu ray release. The action scenes are amazing to show off your surround sound system. The CGI looks more obvious though. As far as the movie goes, I personally just didn't like how it was cut together. At times it felt like I was watching a really long trailer. Of course there's a lot of controversy about some of the changes made to Superman, but I personally am still deciding whether they were for the better or for the worse.

One of the best movies ever (not just superhero movies, just movies in general)!!! Very well paced! Unlike Superman: The Movie, Man of Steel is a dark and gritty Superman movie following the series of DC comics known as the New 52. The final battle between Superman and General Zod was awesome! If you're a die hard Superman fan or casual movie goer, you must watch it. It's very rewatchable!

I remember all the other superman's, so this one took a little different of a direction. There were things that I did not like about this movie but honestly it was so well executed that I can't really bring my self to say anything bad. The things that were added in gave new drama to the movie when Superman is facing his enemies. It was also important in playing out how Superman would be when he was older.

Movie was awesome!! I've seen the movie 4 times. What I didn't like about the movie was Lois knows Clarks ID. That's something I'm not use to but overall good movie can't wait until the sequel.

I have been a superman fan since George reeves was the original star, I have all the movies on DVD and I really loved this movie, Russell Crowe was great and the new "superman" was great, I saw this as a birthday present from my daughters when it came out and I had to have the blue ray.. I will watch this over and over without tiring.. Enjoy the show

The way this story is told through flashbacks is great. When the film opens we see Clark already as a man and are told his story through flashbacks. This allowed the film to jump right into the action without half the movie involving him as a child and worked really well. The end battle scene was a bit long and over extended; however, it sets up the series for a great sequel.

I really got into superman because Smallville, without being a fan of any of the Superman movies in particular. But I saw this movie and it did a great job telling their version of the Superman legend and I was entertained the entire movie. Would definitely recommend even if you were just a Smallville fan like me!

The action starts on Krypton and continues all the way to Metropolis. In between, we learn about the life so far of Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman. Some say there is too much action. Take that for what it's worth. I disagree and recommend this movie. It's the beginning of a franchise with Batman vs Superman next.

Very good movie and Bluray. Picture quality is outstanding and the sound is excellent. If you're a Superman fan, chances are you will like this adaptation. If not, you'll love the action and special effect all the same.

The movie was pretty good. Some of the plot was too different from the original concerning his earthly family ties but the main plot of the movie as different and for what it was trying to deliver it did it's job. A well done action movie with great fighting and emotional scenes.I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

I have seen all the Superman movies, even the old television show. This is a great updated version. We loved the story and all the characters. We especially liked the actors who played Clark's parents. Would recommend this movie to all Superman fans. A good movie to watch over and over again.

If you think you've seen all that Superman has to offer in the previous films, think again. This movie was the best of them all. A very enjoyable movie experience. If you are thinking about adding this movie to your 3d collection, you will not be dissappointed!

An outstanding film although I would have changed to two parts of the film. I will not go into the details so I will not spoil it for you. 5 Star Video and the audio will make your house shake if you have a Home Theater setup. I enjoyed this even more the second time around.

An interesting take that's not always in sequential order. I can handle that. I would have liked to have seen the Lois and Clark stuff handled differently. The General Zod and Krypton stud I admire their take on it, but don't think Zod was the best villain to start off with.

I love the new look of superman, I saw this movie when it first came out in theaters but haven't had the chance to pick it up on blu ray. Finally got it and it's jam packed with extras. DC finally getting back in the game.

Expectations feel a tad bit short on this movie remake. Has a TON of action, scenes, but spent too much time of superman's background and then it seemed rushed towards the end of the move, and mostly filled with high action scenes, perhaps too much action.

I'm not a big Superman fan ( I prefer Batman and other "darker" characters), but this movie was pretty decent. I liked that the character was well-developed, and the filmmakers did a solid job of showing the "humanity" of Superman.

This Superman rendition was 100x better that the previous that was done not too long ago. the cast was very well picked out. the graphics was amazing specially during the fight scenes!!! I can't wait for the sequel. must watch IMO
