This movie was too long and so slow to develop its plot. Very confusing and hard to follow. Worth watching once for scenery and acting is quite good.

It won awards ( best actor ) , but I think other actors did as good or better. My wife thought it was pretty good, but not my kind of movie.

I took a chance even though it was an Oscar nominee. Title and teaser sounded cool. Premise was alright, but the longer the movie went the more boring it became. Fifteen m***** f*****s per minute In the dialogue didn't speed things up either. I think those who made the movie and those who gave it Oscar-merited profs must have thought it was quaint and artsy; but it was just bad.. Save your money. It's just "Misery by the Sea."

The movie would have been 10 times better with half the language. It wasn’t necessary to communicate the story.

Movie was ok, but definitely not Oscar material. Denzel got robbed. There were so many more good movies than this.

This movie was horrible. Constant bad language, which there was no need for...I had thought it would be good, after watching previews; but it was not. I was very disappointed; didn't even watch but a few minutes of it.

I wish I would have researched this before I bought. What a waste of money, not to mention the time wasted watching this. If there were negative stars, I'd rate it there. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Didn't care for the movie at all. It was slow, peopled by uninteresting and uninvolving characters. It reminded me of watching paint dry! I can't understand why it was nominated for all of those awards.
