This is a difficult story about life that is revealed in flashbacks that connect the action. I was impressed the way the movie accomplished the story while maintaining the flow. I was held captive with the action and the characters.

This movie doesn't fail to deliver on the acting, or the story telling. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a good drama

When I saw this movie in the theatre, I knew it would be Best Picture of the year and I knew I had to add it to my collection. The price was right on Black Friday and I had to have it and I am so happy that I bought it.

This was a powerfully moving movie. Dialog is fresh and flows naturally. Casey Affleck's performance is award winning along with the young man who portrayed his nephew. Paced nicely and story unfolds in a believable way.

Manchester by the Sea is a story of shame, tragedy, and grief. It is uplifting and depressing, a genuinely honest movie of people struggling to cope. It was different than what I thought after reading other reviews.

This is a hard movie to watch, not because it's not good, but because it is so hard to watch the pain that these characters endure. Casey Affleck gives a heartbreaking performance and is amazing in the role.

Great Movie, very emotional and heartfelt acting. The actors really infused themselves into each character.

A well written, well directed, well acted movie. Casey Affleck did an amazing job portraying Lee Chandler and deserved the Oscar for his performance. If you haven't seen it, get the DVD. You'll be glad that you did.

This movie was amazing, the pacing I could see being slow to some. But, I see the pace they use as a way to better develop the story, characters, and struggle in this movie. It was my second favorite movie of 2016.

One of the best films of 2016. Stirring and stellar performances from its cast. An honest, heartbreaking, nuanced study of grief and guilt levied with warmth and humor. Brilliantly written and directed. A must see.
