Very nice and decently priced monopod. Great for faced paced sports on the sidelines. Ive used it a a dragstrip with great success catching those split second moments in lower light that handheld would normally by blurry. Built strong should hold up for a long time.

The price was high. Mounting is simple but time consuming.
Needs a quick disconnect, single action lever type.
All tripods have an adapter to mount to the camera for quick separation.
There is probably an adapter out there. It would make the total price probably, too high.

Unfortunately I was unable to use for my canon camcord that I had recently purchased at Best Buy. I did like the fact that it was light and easy to carry especially with the handle that is attached. . I also liked the fact that it is easy to set up and does not take up much space

Makes it easier to follow the play of the ball while video volleyball matched. Needs less room than a tripod and when you are limited by space.

I bought this for when I take photos of my kids sporting events as I needed something to stabilize my camera for telephoto shots. I'm a photo enthusiast and by no means a expert but I did find the leg locks on this monopod would give away from time to time. For the price it is a good product for light duty use. For me it isn't as sturdy as I had desired.

Week 1 - with my new Nikon 80-200 f2.8 shooting my son's soccer match...great pix due to lens, but too many blurry pix due to lack of stability on the part of the photographer...
Week 2 - with my new Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AND new Manfrotto 290 series monopod....78 pix taken at son's soccer match, only 3 blurry pix
i.e. This monopod makes all the difference
