Missing Critical Parts

We bought the tripod for a special event we were shooting and didn't look at it too closely until we had drove 6 hours to the event. Lo and behold when I reached to grab the plate and stick the camera on, there was no screw! This rendered it useless for the event and now we have to desperately look for a replacement screw before we leave on another trip in 2 days! One would think a nearly $200 tripod would come with ALL the parts needed. It's ironic that the most expensive tripod I've ever purchased is the only one that ever came without this small-but-critical part.
