Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the 290 Tripod with Fluid Video Head's stability, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate the quality build and the smooth operation of the fluid head, which enhances adjustability. However, some users noted challenges with panning and the mounting plate, including missing components in some instances. Overall, the positive feedback on the tripod's key features outweighs the reported minor drawbacks.

Decent lightweight tripod, fluid head is a stretch

For $200+ you get a decent lightweight tripod, but the fluid head description is a stretch. If you need truly fluid pans and tilts, look into a heavier duty manfroto.

Absolutely love the Manfrotto plate. I have never used a tripod that had a better camera locking mechanism for such a fair price. However, this tripod does not have a leveler which is a bit disappointing. Expect to pay about $50 more if that is important to you. My camera has a built in level view, so it is not that big of a deal to me, but to others I must warn you.

Legs are great but the head is wobbly. Not stable enough for anything bigger than a sony a6000 series with a small-medium sized lense

Would be perfect for an introductory filmaker. Needed a quick fix for a last minute shoot and it was adequate but was not what i was looking for long term. Good product but i needed something a little more high quality.
