Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the 290 Tripod with Fluid Video Head's stability, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate the quality build and the smooth operation of the fluid head, which enhances adjustability. I'm not an expert in tripods, but this one meets all my needs without having to have spent $400 or more. It feels sturdy yet light in weight and easy for me to move around.

I needed a new lightweight tripod that was well built and good for both photo and video. I shoot a lot of real estate photography and being able to have the fluid head and adjust the height quick and easy is a plus!

This is a very light tripod. Very smooth fluid head. I find myself wishing it was just a little bit taller, but overall I'm very happy with it. Build quality is top notch, and you can lock basically any part of the head. I do wish there was a hook on the bottom to hang a weight or other accessory, but that's easy enough to add. I would definitely suggest this product to a friend.

As everything Manfrotto does this tripod is truly great quality. If you are working with a small to medium weight DSLR setup it will serve you very well. When your rig is heavier than 8 pounds I would recommend going with something bigger to support it.

LOVE THIS. Very sturdy and a little heavy which makes the tripod not fall everywhere. Also love that this one comes with a fluid head which is insanely great for video making.

I bought a cheap tripod without a fluid head and my videos were choppy. This tripod solved that issue for me. If you are serious about shooting video, using a tripod is a must. I would definetly recommend a fluid head tripod. Manfrotto to me is a solid brand for tripods. I own a non fluid head made by manfrotto and it is great for taking pictures.

This tripod is a pretty sturdy tripod good for mirrorless setups I probably wouldn’t put a 80D and 70-200 on this but I can get away with my a7iii and 24-70. The pan motion screw does not have a lot of play in it which is kind of disappointing. But for the price is still a very nicely build sturdy tripod. It’s what you should expect from a manfrotto.

Great quality! I purchased this to hold my iPad Pro and it does this very well. However, I need it to tilt down far enough so I can use it in a zoom music lesson so the instructor can see how I am playing a musical instrument which is held on my lap. The tripod is well made, sturdy and light weight to carry. 5 stars except for not tilting down far enough.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the tripod. For the price, I wish there were a pan/tilt lock, not just a tension knob. I worry that it will wear out quickly, as there is already a bit more "give" than I prefer. Less expensive models include carrying cases, so not sure why this does not. That said, I like the weight, size, and ease of use of this tripod, and am generally happy with the construction.

Bought it for a camera so I guess its my fault that it's kind of awkward to use/hard to mount the camera, when it's meant for a video camera. Either way, it is sturdy and I'm fairly certain a strong gust won't knock it down. I specifically got this one because my local Best Buy had it on a open box markdown and I thought it would mount a DSLR just as well as a video camera. I believe I should be able to purchase some sort of adapter, but for now I have it kind of ghetto rigged. Either way, it works and does what I need it to do and I am happy (as a tall person) that it goes a bit higher than most tripods.

Not the best tripod but definitely the best my store had to offer. It’s pretty mobile and sturdy. Wish the tightening knobs were a-little bigger. Fluid head is smooth. No regrets
