Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the 290 Tripod with Fluid Video Head's stability, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate the quality build and the smooth operation of the fluid head, which enhances adjustability. However, some users noted challenges with panning and the mounting plate, including missing components in some instances. Overall, the positive feedback on the tripod's key features outweighs the reported minor drawbacks.

This is a 2nd we have, the first one is still holding well. I'd highly recommend it to anyone planning to use it with either camcorders or DSLR.

This is an excellent tripod with a fluid head that allows for a smooth motion for taking video with my Panasonic LUMIX mirrorless camera. I tried a cheaper Manfrotto model without the fluid head and it was like night and day. I could wait to exchange it for the better one. Fluid head is the only way to go.

A very tripod. I had an Amazon basics tripod in the past. While shooting a video the movement was very rough and I ended having a very bad video. This tripod made the movement smooth and the videos are much better now. The tripod is solid and should last for a long time.

Took this on a cross country trip to film and it worked perfectly. It was lightweight so we could carry it around all day, plus the quick release plate made it easy to transition from still to run and gun

I had high hopes for this being a Manfrotto, after reading many reviews for various tripods I thought Manfrotto was a brand name that could be trusted. The tripod is very slick and looks very nice. The legs are very stable and easy to operate. Where this tripod fails greatly is in the design of the tightening bolts on the fluid head. They go from totally tight to all the way lose in 1/4 of a turn which limits your ability to have it finely adjusted. Also the tightening bolt that tightens the up and down movement doesn't get all the way tight, it seems like the bolt is not long enough. Because of these reasons and the price of the tripod I returned it. My search continues.

Very good and solid tripod. Bought it for Nikon d750 which is super heavy with a lens. The tripod holds it easy.

I got an open box for like $150. And for what you are getting with a fluid head its not bad at all! Definitely not top of the line but pretty good quality.

One of the features I appreciate most is the tripod's versatility. Whether I'm shooting landscapes, portraits, or macro photography, this tripod adapts effortlessly. The ability to adjust the legs independently allows for creative positioning, especially useful when shooting in tight spaces or on challenging terrain.

Quality tripod with lots of adjustments. I liked the level bubble on the top to assist with adjustments. The mounting plate seems a bit large but does allow for lots of adjustments. Would have been nice if the adjustment screw was not loose.

Tripod works very well for the price of this item. The video head is very fluid indeed which makes it easier to film. A bit heavier than what I would like but still it is a great piece of equipment.

Great tripod. Wish it had a ball head but having the control arm is great too. Strong, sturdy and was a great addition to the too many tripods I already have haha
