It’s not the sturdiest tripod, but for what you pay it’s a good bang for the buck. It’s sturdy enough for long exposures. Holds my Sony 6500 no problem. Like the way you attach the camera to the tripod and it’s a sturdy hold.

It's a Christmas gift but when he want's so it should be great.

I have been filming my son's soccer games and I bought 3 $25 to $35 tripods. They all broke for various reasons. The tripod is steady and looks like it will last a long time instead of the 2 months I had been getting out of the cheaper models.
