Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the 65" Compact Advanced Tripod's sturdiness, light weight, compact size, and value for the price. Many appreciate its stability and ease of transport. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the placement and functionality of the handles, and the lack of a built-in level. Overall, the positive feedback outweighs the negative.

once you get use to the tripod it works very good. hard to carry with all the other photo equipment that you lug around. i guess that is to be expected. i got it for our vacation to put in a suitcase for air travel.

It's a good tripod. It'll do what you need, especially for run-and-gun shoots or fairly informal affairs. However, the pan and tilt handles are essentially on top of one another and this makes it virtually impossible to do either smoothly. Manfrotto has been making good stuff for years and I'm surprised this product doesn't have a little more thought put into it. Surely they knew they'd made it difficult to utilize the tripod for more creative endeavors.

...did not support a Matterport 3D camera and ended up returning it. Did buy another tripod from the same manufacturer which does the job nicely.

I bought this Tripod because I know Manfrotto is a well trusted brand. Well, apparently not this Tripod. Very low end, flimsy and doesn't have a level on it for accuracy.

Overall reviews for this product were pretty good however, it seems two of the handle levelers were right on top of each other. Most tripods have them in separates side of the pod. My hunch is that it was incorrectly put together sold returned and sold again. Other than the placement of the handles it seemed a good solid product.

Manfrotto has several tri pods and buy pods. This is not the one to buy. fully extended I'm not sure it would hold a small camera much less a full size dslr. I couldn't return it faster!

I never really understood this type of head for a tri pod. I would rather have a pistol grip, even for stills, that allows me to tilt left right or up down to lock a shot in place. I returned this and got a different tri pod

Tripod top will not stay level with a moderated heavy camera on it. No way to lock it in place or lock did not hold.

    Amazing tripod for amateur photography

The Manfrotto is often rated as one of the best tripod makers around. After purchasing and using this tripod, I can easily see why. It's light, sturdy (able to handle a mid-range DSLR with a large zoom lens), compact, and can extend to a high height. Perfect for any amateur photographer.

    Excellent Tripod for the price

This is an excellent tripod for the price. I'm giving it 5 stars because in this price range, it's a great choice. I'm not comparing it to tripods that cost several hundred to a couple of thousand dollars, which I have owned. For a basic tripod to be used with an entry level DSLR camera, this is a great choice. I've always been a fan of Manfrotto tripods and this one is no exception - it's a great product. Anyone who is complaining about this tripod is probably expecting a $500 tripod quality for $100, which ain't gonna happen. And anyone who thinks that $100 is a lot to spend on a tripod hasn't owned a lot of good tripods. I love how compact it gets, and even the fact that they give you a pretty decent carrying bag with it is great. Would definitely recommend this.

Decent product but handles come off easy

Many of times I had to constantly tighten the handles, and eventually lost one. So far no replacement is available when I went to the Manfrotto website. Will have to create a homemade one. Other than that I've taken this tripod outdoors and it holds up very well even in the most rugged of places. For the money not a bad buy but check to make sure the handles stay tightened
