Customers are saying

Customers commend the Compact Action Smart 61" Tripod for its sturdiness, lightweight design, and affordability, finding it ideal for travel due to its compact size and compatibility with various devices. However, some users experienced challenges with the panning feature, the lack of a built-in level, and the phone holder's stability. This tripod is sturdy, but light weight. I use it for company headshots in which the employees all sit in the same spot.

This tripod was not what I intended to purchase when I went to the store. I had gone online and the website indicated that another tripod I wanted was in stock at the store I visited. It was not. Not wanting to travel to another store, I settled for this model. I have only used it a few times and have no reason to complain. It seems sturdy enough, not too heavy and is relatively easy to set up. Only time will tell if it will endure more rigorous use and last long enough to justify the money spent on it.

I bought this to use with my Sony rx10 which is a rather hefty camera. I wanted it mainly to take pics of the recent eclipse. For a lightweight tripod it worked well for the purpose. I wouldn't want to rely on it in the field under windy conditions with a large camera. It does come with a phone mount which I am sure it would be more than adequate. A sure bet for compact cameras and phones. In terms of functionality I give it two thumbs up.

This is a great tripod that’s easy to operate and set up. However, you’re stuck with the head it ships with which is a shame because the leg set is of much higher use than the tripod head included. The head isn’t bad per say, it’s just limited to only being effective for very small DSLR’s and Mirrorless cameras (Canon SL1, Nikon D3500, Nikon Z50, Canon EOS M5) or mobile devices. I ended up keeping this as a backup and going to my local camera shop for something similar with an interchangeable tripod head.

Love it, best tripod I ever owned. With its light weight and easy to use leg extensions to its fast set up this tripod does the job. I recommend it to anyone wanting to do film to still shots in a heart beat. The bonus phone holder is a big plus too . I didn't expect that when I bought it so it was like two for one with that little gem accessory. I will be looking for more products like that in the future

For what it's worth, I've been a Director of Photography for 25+ years, I've used the top of the line tripods but I needed something small enough for travel to lock-off some shots while on the go, mainly for stills. I didn't expect much, honestly, but the Manfrotto name is respected so I didn't know what to expect. I was beyond surprised. The legs are light but sturdy (for a DSLR). The build quality is great. I really dig the pistol grip with the analog 'wheel' for tension that you can just roll with your thumb. For stills, this is excellent. For video, you can't pan/tilt with it smoothly but that's not the design of it, that's a fluid head. I just got some 'video' shots of a pan but it was a little bouncy but then I just steadied it in editing. But, as a locked-off video shot, it's great and doesn't wobble. I was going to use a monopod (with feet) for travel shots but this took its spot. Really pleasantly surprised. (And of course, now it's $10 off the week after I bought it, haha)

I purchased this for a spotter scope that I use for wildlife. The trigger ball is the only way to go if you have to make multiple adjustments in a hurry. It locks down steady as expected. I have been able to pack my Barska scope and Manfrotto tri pod in a single vinyl bag with a shoulder strap that I can carry with me in the woods and have set up in less than a minute. Great little tripod for on the go type of use.
