This thing blows away the $5-600 Dennon receiver I replaced. The only thing I was disappointed with is not being able to assign all speaker outputs. I have a 5.2.4 setup and unfortunately I can’t assign rear surround without having side surround speakers. Only way to have rear surrounds is to add an external amplifier and 2 more speakers.

Simple set up. Excellent sound quality replacing an older yamaha unit to upgrade to Dolby Atmos capability. Great UI setup interface. Highly recommend this unit running a 9.2 dolby atmos system.

Sweet!!! Not satisfied with some options that I need to reset but the sound is smooth and warm. Extremely happy with the quality and attention to detail. The app could use some help. Setup was easy, will go back and make some changes to speaker options and fine tuning. Packaged extremely well, looks like a wedding gift when you open the box. Connections are easy and lots of options for assigning connections for different purposes. Overall exceptional AVR

Hate to say i got this for a 3.2 system. But there high emd speakers and im a hige fan of movies. At least i can add more speakers down thr road. Going from a denon 3400h to the marantz cinema40 it is night and day better in every way.

Anyone thinking about purchasing this, go for it! I’ve been using the ROTEL RSP-1576 and recently replaced it with the Marantz Cinema 40 and one word, AWESOME. You will not regret!
