Aesthetically pleasing speaker with good sound quality and volume. The sound quality isn't perfect or the best I've ever heard, but it gets the job done.

Good looks, lots of bass, limited sound direction, buggy app, coupling not working, no product support, went back to the store.

Only a few dollars difference this item and Stanmore 2. Find out Stanmore and compare it. You don't need to go with too large speaker; however, this Acton 2 is less competitive to Stanmore2.

This little speaker packs a lot power and the classic Marshall speaker design is so cool! I plan on purchasing a second one soon.

Aside from several Amazon Echo devices, this is the first wired Bluetooth speaker I’ve used. Compared to the smart speakers I own, this speaker is larger and provides much fuller sound (more on that later). It’s important to note that this is not a battery-operated speaker, and despite its size, it’s easily portable (I’ve moved it around several locations in my home). The speaker looks like a Marshall amplifier you’d see at a concert. Its case has a high-quality and substantial feel. I like the covering because it has a semisoft textured feel rather than hard/slick plastic. Along the top are the physical controls, traditional/real (and backlit) knobs for volume, treble, and bass, plus a power rocker switch and a Bluetooth connection button. My 17-year-old son said the design looks great. Setup was simple, involving plugging in the power (the package included not only a US plug, but also a European plug), downloading an app to my phone, and connecting the app to the speaker. Before I could use the speaker the app automatically downloaded a firmware update and installed it on the speaker; that took about 6 minutes. After the update I connected my phone to the speaker via Bluetooth (an aux cord connection is an alternative option). As indicated above, the sound is very full with strong bass response, and solid treble sound. In addition to the physical tone knobs, the app includes more granular equalizer controls; between these options it’s easy to achieve a desired sound profile. The speaker is very loud, another aspect my 17-year-old loves. For a party type situation this speaker will be ideal. I’ve played a variety of music ranging from classic rock to hip hop. The sound quality is very good in all cases, certainly much better than my smart speakers. The only issue is that there’s no stereo separation, but that’s because I only have one Marshall. That said, the Marshall app includes an option that suggests it’s possible to pair two of these Marshall speakers to create stereo separation. Overall, this is a great speaker that I’d recommend for others.
