I went in to buy a in box open box item and got there it was no box no nothing. Just the unit with no cords or instructions. They did give me a power cord but im not sure if its even the right one for the unit. I was given a $10 discount.... seems to work ok but it wasnt the experience i had hoped for.

Real nice work. Will recommend friends to buy it, will buy it again.

The sound quality could have been better. You can trully say i expected more from marshall

I bought it last january on sale for 179 + tax and i thought it was a bargain, big mistake, it worked well for 3 months and then it stoped working, i'm not the kind of guy who spends money shipping things for warranty, inmediately after it stopped working i kicked it repeatedly until it fell apart and throw it to the trashcan, don't waste your money on this ...

I'll admit, I was very skeptical about this speaker at first. I'm not a huge music enthusiast so I wasn't sure if I would notice the difference in the sound quality with this speaker versus a lower cost one but I was willing to give it a try. After the first use I was blown away! The sound is crisp, and makes you feel like you're listening to live music. In additional to providing great sound quality, the speaker is aesthetically pleasing with its retro look - very cool! My only annoyance with with this speaker is the fact you have to use the Marshall app to connect to it via Bluetooth. Both android and apple devices I used to stream music wouldn't connect unless I did through the app. The other thing to be aware of is that it seems apparent that the speaker has a capacitor in it, as it doesn't turn on immediately when plugged in. In addition, the power lever has to be held for a second to acknowledge being turned on or off. Minor nuisances, but it did make me think I had a faulty speaker at first. Overall, great product! Would highly recommend for music enthusiasts or hobbyists :)

Evaluated solely on the basis of sound quality, this speaker ranks near the top of any bluetooth speaker I've tried. It has a surprising amount of low end, and the highs are crystal clear. You can adjust the level of bass and treble with two knobs on the top of the speaker, or you can go into the app and adjust five ranges in the equalizer. What truly sets this apart though is the looks. Just from across the room, you get the impression of a guitar amp, but up close, the details really stand out. The finishing on the metal accents is superb, and all the little dials and switches continue the theme of an amp. A really interesting detail is that there are no numbers around the knobs and no pointers on the knobs themselves. Instead you have red leds that light up as the volume (or bass or treble) are increased. And you can even control how bright those lights are in the app. My only criticism is that the on switch could have a better feel, and you shouldn't have to hold it for a couple of seconds for it to register. But apart from that minor quibble, there is nothing wrong with this. Just all around great sound and great looks.

Bought open box as excellent condition, and the speaker came with a cable missed. Not sure if the best buy will charge me, I will definitely return this in 24 hours after received it.

I really like this one. I have a decent amount of experience with Bt speakers of all sizes, from beats pills, various models of UE booms, and I’d say this is the best if the bunch. It just looks cool to be honest. You could throw this on any shelf and it wouldn’t look out of place. The sound is nice and clean, bass is fairly good for a speaker of this size, though it can get slightly muddy if cranked up to 11, so I’d leave that turned down a bit personally. Really the only gripe I have with the unit is I wish the knobs had detente in them when adjusting. I think this could really use a nice satisfying “click” when turning the dials, to complete the retro vibe it’s throwing off. The app is useless though. I’m pretty good with technology, and there is zero indication on how to get to the equalizer settings when paired. I can see what speaker is playing, the song, the volume, and change the input, nothing else. It sounds fine as is, so not a real let down. Overall, it sounds good for the size, and looks really good as well. Honestly that alone is a strong reason to get it, other BT speakers look out of place compared to this unit.

Have to download their app. Connecting is difficult. Stay away.

Love it! Love the cool look and style! Sounds great! It is a good balance of clarity and bass. I like that you can connect to it via bluetooth (BT) or AUX. Please note this is not a guitar amp. It is a BT speaker that requires an AC outlet for power. Therefore, it is not as portable as other BT speakers. However, it works for me but wanted to make that known in case you want something more portable.

Being a guitar player, I was a little bit wary of a Bluetooth speaker from a guitar amp manufacturer. I thought they were just trying to bank in on their reputation from amps. I was pleasantly proven wrong. Marshall really went out of the way to make this speaker an experience unto its own. Unboxing reveals a UK power cord along with a US one (I appreciated the little nod to its roots). The box is a bit weighty, and definitely sturdy. I was somewhat expecting a handle on the top, just like the amps. Powering on the speaker plays a guitar riff to let you know you're ready to go, as it does when you power the speaker down. It's nice to see they've also included an AUX port along with Bluetooth connection. It's nice to know that I won't have to rely solely on compressed audio of Bluetooth to enjoy the sound. I, personally, didn't get a chance to test the AUX port yet, before my review, but I think it's worth mention its presence all the same. One thing to note, it didn't really come with instructions. There are two flyers in the box, but I think you get more information from the print on the side of the box than you do the flyers. I think this speaker is intuitive enough that you don't really need a whole set of instructions. I knew enough to hold down the button next to the Bluetooth indicator to get connected. The process was fairly quick and painless. I only needed to tweak the bass and treble slightly and the sound was fantastic. Using the Marshall Bluetooth app on my phone provided EQ options, which definitely helped to add dimension, but I don't think you'd be missing out on that much if you didn't feel the need to add yet another app to your phone. Warning: if you do, the initial firmware update it prompts you to install takes FOREVER.

as a metal and rock music lover this speaker did not impressed me

This unit is amazing. The sound is clear and crisp. I've had others that were good, but this by far the best. I bought it for an outdoor party, and it preformed great. Easy to use, and lots of adjustments for bass and treble. It is a bit pricey compared to others available, but well worth it.
