It is louder than the JBL one that we owned before this one. The only downside is that it needs to be connected at all times, but ither than that, very crisp sounds.

I was tired of dealing with rechargeable portable speakers. This one plugs into the wall. The knobs and buttons are the only thing you need after connecting. Its not portable which is ok with me.

However, the bass rolls off sharply in lower octaves, and mid range is a bit overpowering. Does have good volume, and blue tooth worked well. The look, fit and finish are excellent. Pricey unless on sale
