Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the Emberton II's exceptional sound quality, citing its clarity, balanced audio across frequencies, and surprisingly loud volume for its size. The long battery life and convenient portability are also frequently praised, making it ideal for travel and various settings. Many users highlight the speaker's pleasing design and robust water resistance. While some find the weight substantial, this is generally viewed positively as it prevents movement during use.

Buy it for the Fit & Finish
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.***There are probably better sounding speakers at this price range, but none will feel or look as good. I was reluctant to pull the trigger on this purchase, but fortified with a $15 coupon and a cocktail, I ordered the Emberton II. I was skeptical because I felt like I was just buying it, maybe, for the looks, and yeah, I was. I use thisnspeaker primarily for listening to music and podcasts while showering, and to bring with me while traveling. It is just about the perfect size between packability and sound robustness. This thing feels solid, and looks really sharp. All my friends who have seen it love it, even those who were also jaded about the Marshall brand co-opted nature of the product. I am a klutz and have dropped this thing in the tub, wet and dry, and also on the tiled floor. No marks, no damage. It has a nice, wide soundstage and sounds robust. It doesn't feature the more rich (maybe exaggerated) bass that I tend to prefer, but it will rock out without distortion. Battery life is really great. I bought this in early April, have been using it about 40 minutes/week and after two months, the battery still shows half charge. Oh, the other cool thing is the battery meter. You get an always-on gauge with 10 bars. I dont know why I love that so much, probably because I hate having to drill down on my phone to check if my peripheral needs a juice up. If you are purely cost-driven, there are marginally better sounding speaker ls for the price, but I dont think any feel/look this good, especially with the robust battery life.

Marshall's Mighty Miniature Music Machine!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Love Marshall gear. I already have the Stanmore and the Acton, both of which I absolutely love for both their sound and their style, and now I have the awesome little Emberton II! I've owned several portable BT speakers over the last few years and while many were anywhere from OK to Good, the Emberton is the first where I thought, this sounds GREAT! Upon receiving the box, I was struck by just how small this thing is! Upon opening the box, I found the Emberton in all it's stylish glory along with a USB-C charging cable (which I promptly put back since I have a ton of them already around the house - yay bring on universal charging cables!). I plugged it in and the battery indicator showed that it was at about 60/70% out of the box but I wanted to go from a full charge to properly test the battery life of this thing. Once everything was charged up, I turned it on, hit the pairing button, and paired it with my iPhone 12 Pro. Within seconds I was rocking out to my testing playlist and incredibly surprised at the range of this minuscule monster of music! Does it have the chest thumping bass of my Stanmore or even my Acton, no not quite, but it does put out a heck of a lot more than any other portable speaker I've owned. I was able to 'goose' this a bit more by placing the Emberton on my desk next to the wall so that the sound could bounce off of it and give in a bit more oomph. It worked like a charm. Oh, you can download the Marshall App for three different EQ preset modes, but the 'standard' Marshall Sound is the best out of the three by far, so I'd just stick with it. I have been listening to the Emberton II for over 10 hours now and the battery indicator just hit the 80%. I have no doubt that I will get well beyond 30 hours with this thing, which is absolutely fabulous for a speaker this size. The controls on the Emberton II are easy as pie with a simple pairing button and a central multi-function "knob" which is actually more of a really short thumb-stick. Long press to turn it on, quick press for play/pause, up/down for volume, right/left for skip/back & fast forward/rewind. Easy peasy. I am sorely tempted to get another one of couple of these Embertons to try out the 'Stack' mode. With a couple in a stack you could really pump out the tunes, and with a few spread around a party, you could fill the room with music without absolutely blasting those near the speaker. I am absolutely tickled pink with the Emberton II, and I think you will be too. Style and substance at a great price. If you are looking for a great portable speaker (or speaker system), you can't go wrong with Marshall, and Emberton II is just the latest in their line of outstanding speakers.

I’d buy again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Marshall Emberton II is a great portable speaker! It's known for its iconic Marshall design, balanced audio, and impressive battery life (around 30 hours). It's also durable and water-resistant, making it perfect for outdoor use. Some reviews mention it lacks a bit of bass compared to larger speakers, but overall, it's highly praised for its sound quality and portability. If you're after a stylish, compact speaker with a good punch, the Emberton II is a solid choice!

Insane Speaker - Small But Mighty!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am blown away by the Marshall Emberton II! This thing is insane. It’s crazy how something so small can get so loud. It seriously fills a room (and more) without breaking a sweat. The sound quality is fantastic, super clear with a nice balance across highs, mids, and bass. The size is another huge win for me. It fits easily in my bag, so I can literally take it anywhere from road trips to just chilling at the park. Plus, the black and brass color scheme looks absolutely premium. It feels solid and stylish at the same time. The app is pretty cool too, with three different sound presets to choose from. I just wish there was an option to customize my own presets but sadly you’re limited to the ones provided. Still, not a deal-breaker at all. Overall, if you’re looking for a portable speaker that punches WAY above its weight, the Emberton II is the one. Highly recommend!

Feel the Boom!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Marshall Emberton II speaker packs a mighty punch. I already have very good speaker in the same price point and didn't expect to be so impressed with this one. The preset options allow for the full sound, heavy vocals, or heavy base. I enjoy the full sound option the most (the speaker comes programed to play full sound right out of the box). I don't really find the app that necessary for one speaker. I imagine that 2 or more speakers would be when I'd add the app, for stacking them together (knowing what I know now). The privacy policy is very difficult to view on the app too. I'm still not sure of what remains private, and this is NOT good. The first song I put on blew me away. I heard subtle new layers in the music that my other speaker did not deliver. It was pretty awesome. I'm going to enjoy using this for my workouts at home (I don't use wireless earbuds anymore due to RF radiation concerns). I will also enjoy this outdoors by the pool. It's not advertised as waterproof, but that's not a big deal. Charges quickly and lasts a long time. There's volume control, plus forward and back arrows to skip to the next song. The back arrow doesn't go past the current song, it only restarts the song. Not all wireless speakers will let you skip songs from the unit, so I appreciate this option. It also comes with a USB charging cord. I'm very pleased with this speaker. Hope to get a second one so I can experience the stacking capabilities.

With Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, an IP67 waterproof rating, and over 30 hours of battery life, it’s perfect for on-the-go listening. The intuitive control knob and Marshall app add convenience, though it lacks a built-in mic and AUX input. Pros: Excellent sound quality Long battery life Durable and waterproof Cons: No microphone for calls No wired audio option Great for those who want powerful, portable sound with vintage style.

Absolutely sophisticated looking bluetooth speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's no way you go anywhere without noticing the aesthetic of this speaker if it's playing nearby. That in of itself is probably the biggest draw as the materials are top notch with leather grain pattern on a rubbery surface. The brass looking knob atop the case exudes an attention to design and this speaker has it in spades. I do not think I've ever seen a more arresting small speaker. Overall functionality is good and you can tell the designers wanted to make sure you understood what was happening with the hardware. There's a red column of lights that shows the overall charge when you first turn on the speaker and it also serves to note the volume when you're wanting to change that. Again the choice of coloration and lights serves to make the entire setup look high-end as compared with the normal plastic speakers you commonly see. The included IP67 rating is further evidence of attention to detail and while I personally wouldn't be taking this speaker out on the beach because I'd like to keep it looking pristine, it's obvious that it's more than capable of the jaunt to the pool or such. Sound quality is as you expect in this form factor. The heavy bass will always be lacking but the dual 2 inch drivers do their best to provide the clean auditory punch of lower registers. You won't feel it but you can still hear it fairly well. This speaker doesn't have the oomph to really fill an outdoor space with sound, I'd classify is as a medium room or personal space type speaker although it does appear to have the functionality to pair with a second one to provide stereo sound. The processor definitely keeps things ratcheted down if you try to really crank the volume (probably to prevent distortion which is in keeping with the clean sound signature). Overall love the elegant aesthetic as it is a highly functional and awesome looking speaker.

Marshell Emberton II
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little guy is the perfect portable bluetooth. Love the speakers on both sides to give that 360 surround sound feeling. Perfect amount of bass and clarity and easy to move around and transport because of its small size, homerun hitter. I own about 8 bluetooth speakers and this one is by far my favorite.

Great sound, excellent design, easy portability
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched many portable speakers before I decided to purchase the Marshall Emberton II. The sound quality is very good, esp for a portable speaker, and I like that there is an option to vary the equalizer settings, even though there are only 3 settings for it. Depending on the type of music I am listening to, I find that these 3 settings are adequate, even though I would prefer to have full control to select equalizer settings. I also liked the multi-directional sound from this little speaker. It really expands the sound and makes it seem like the sound is coming from a much larger speaker than this occupies. The design of this portable speaker is very modern and the quality of the materials and durability appear to be top notch - what you would expect out of a Marshall product. I'm very happy with this speaker and glad that I purchased it.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is fantastic. I bought one for my computer and I use it also working on projects in my garage. It has great sound and gets really loud for a smaller speaker. I bought a second one for my son for his birthday! The battery life is awesome! I have only had to charge it once and used it continuously for 8 hours straight 3 days in a row before it had one bar left. It takes a few hours to fully charge. Worth every penny!

The vintage of the future
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Marshall speaker is very unique and distinctive in its own way. It's like a modern vintage speaker. It's very well constructed with a rugged body and metal grills. The rugged body from a far you may think is leather. The black and bronze accent makes this thing standout. On the top you have a joystick in the center that acts as a control and power button. Moving the stick up or down you control the volume. Left and right you control the tracks. By pressing it down you control the on/off. When powering on or off the speaker makes this pretty cool guitar melody. On the top you also have the pairing button and a battery meter. I really like the battery meter. I find it very useful as you can easily figure out how much battery you have left by just looking at it. When you charge the speaker using the provided USBA to USBC cable the meter makes this cool charging animation. When it comes to sound, it is very loud with clear highs. On the low side is ok, the bass is not as deep as I thought it would be. If you want to experience a better base, position the speaker close to a wall, preferably a corner. Bouncing the sound from the wall will generate a much richer and deeper base. This thing has speaker radiators in the back so you get sound from both sides. It also has an ip67 rating so yes it can get a little wet. Something I found strange was this speaker being Bluetooth, you cannot take phone calls. It does not have a built-in mic, so when the call comes through you have to take the phone. I usually don't take calls on those speakers but that’s just me and having the option to do so is a plus. When it comes to battery manufacturers, they have it rated at 30 plus hours of portable time. I used it for a little over 6 hours non-stop and it went dead. Take into account I did have it at high volume so that probably contributed to draining the battery at a higher rate. Overall this is a really good speaker with a distinctive signature and a rugged body that will last for a long time. In the box you get the speaker, charging USBC cable, and manual.
