I’ve been using the Marshall Emberton III Portable Bluetooth Speaker for about a week, and I’m really impressed with it. First off, the design is super cool—classic Marshall style with that retro vibe. It looks great sitting on a desk or shelf, almost like a piece of décor that happens to play music. Its awesome just fits in my work space. What I Liked: The sound quality really stands out for me. For such a small speaker, it’s surprisingly loud and clear. I use it both in my home office and around the house, and it fills the room pretty well, even when I move it to different spots. I’ve noticed the bass is punchy, but not overwhelming, which is perfect for me since I listen to a lot of different music—everything from rock to podcasts. There is a loss of bass when I turn it all the way up. The 360-degree sound means it doesn't matter where I place it; the audio is always consistent. Another huge plus is the battery life. I can go days without charging it, and Marshall says it lasts over 30 hours, which feels about right based on my experience. I also like how fast it charges—if I forget to charge it overnight, a quick 20-minute charge gets me through most of my day. What Could Be Better: The only downside I’ve run into is the lack of a 3.5mm jack. I have some older devices I would’ve liked to plug in, but everything now is pretty much Bluetooth, so it's not a dealbreaker. Also, there’s no smart assistant integration. It’s not a feature I personally use much, but if you’re someone who loves controlling everything by voice, you might miss that. What I Had Issues With: I did have a slight issue with the Bluetooth range once or twice when moving around my home. It usually has a solid connection, but once I went into another room and the connection dropped briefly. That could be more about the layout of my place though. --- Overall, I’ve really enjoyed having this speaker around. It’s become my go-to for working in the office, cooking in the kitchen, or just hanging out. Perfect if you’re looking for something stylish and portable with great sound quality.

I would give it no rating but you insist on selecting one, so one it is. I returned it unopened because it was shipped to me from your "returns dept". I ordered a new speaker, not a returned item. I repurchased it from a competitor for $30 less.

Had some problems right away, which resulted in having to send my speaker directly to Marshall for diagnostic and repair. Ever since I got it back though it’s like I don’t even want to use it anymore. And stacking with another Marshall speaker(same model) is very temperamental. And you can’t use your microphone to voice respond to text on your phone without the speaker making a very loud blip sound at the end and sometimes the stack will disconnect from that as well. And if you don’t have an extremely extremely strong Wi-Fi connection, you will not be able to connect to the app, and you can ONLY change the very limited equalizer settings from the app. It seems inconsistent because I have two of these and one sounds better than the other. But I can’t go through more Technical support drama trauma. Perhaps I am just radioactive.

Good sound quality but no bass, the boss sound like has much better sound quality and bass.

Marshall has done it again…. What an incredible sound from a portable speaker. Simple and quick to set up and the sound is amazing. Right out of the box it was fully charged. Pressing the power button I was greeted with a nice chord and the red lights on top indicate how much charge is left. I downloaded the Marshall app and was able to quickly add my speaker. The app is fine, not too many options, basically you will use it to change the EQ settings and check the power level but the red lights on the unit also visually show you how much charge is left. Which I really like, the visual reminder of how much charge is remaining. Next I opened the bluetooth settings on my iphone 13 pro max and instantly it located the speaker and I was connected. SO basically within a couple of minutes of opening the box I had the app installed and connected to the speaker and my phone connected and was playing music. The buttons on top are perfectly placed. Using the gold button on top is easy to adjust the volume or advance the song. The sound comes from both the front and back of the peaker providing an immersive 360 degree sound. I have been using it for several hours each day and still have not had to re charge it. It is rated at 32+ hours of play time….. Incredible. It is rated for dust and waterproof so I have no concerns about taking it on the road or poolside or to my sons baseball games. Who doesn't like a nice rich walk up song. Bonus this also has a built in microphone so when that call comes in and your listening to music it is easy to accept the call and just talk through the speaker. Incredible easy to use and amazing sound.

Easily out of the box, the Marshall - Emberton speaker sets itself apart with its classic Marshall styling. It has a miniature retro Marshall amp/floor monitor vibe with the box styling and gold script writing and control button. The black fence mesh grills on front and back are wrapped with a soft but durable feeling rubber trim. The speaker has a good hefty feel for the small size and will definitely stay in place wherever you sit it down to enjoy so good vibes. It comes with a simplistic design factor of using a single usb-c power input, multi directional rocker control button for power, skip, and volume, a Bluetooth connect button, and a very helpful and visible battery level led scale on top. I was expecting a good classic sound from this speaker when powered up and I was introduced with a “guitar hero” chord entry on power up and outro on power down. Very simple aesthetic but I really enjoyed this subtle touch. Now the sound continued from here and I was disappointed when connected to my phone. I was surprised at the powerful sounds produced from this somewhat small form factor speaker. I pushed the volume to the max on several different genres of music and the speaker held its own. There was dynamic vocals and a good spectrum of bass. There was little to no distortion in the sound produced at high volumes and the sound carried throughout the room. I then took the speaker poolside and was able to enjoy clear sound while enjoying the pool. This speaker is designated as water resistant but I didn’t want to test that too much even though it has a durable feel with the rubber surround and very well protected mesh grills. I really appreciate the led battery indicator so you have a feel for when its time to plug the speaker into power source. However, I used this speaker for hours at high volumes and only used three of the ten bars of battery. Overall, I am very pleased with this speaker and will carry it with me whenever I can as it is small enough to be portable without being cumbersome and powerful enough to enjoy anywhere.
