Extremely disappointed with Marshall

They’re attractive and the few I have listened to at best buy showrooms (acton, stanmore, Middleton) have been pretty impressive. I wanted something new to replace my older JBL speaker (flip 5) and thought the emberton was a good alternative. I was convinced that this was the perfect replacement because of the many reviews I read/ Marshall advertising about “Marshall signature sound / true stereophonic”. Upon unboxing I was impressed with the build quality and appearance of the speaker, i was sure I was going to enjoy the sound quality it was going to produce but was extremely disappointed once connected. The sound it produces is thin, bass is muffled and highs are flat. This speaker sounds like it has no punch / soul to it. I honestly cannot understand how people over at Marshall are happy with the sound this produced because it is atrocious! I really wanted to love this speaker but it is not something I can keep! This does not live up to the Marshall name!
