Marshall makes beautiful speakers and amps that are capable of great sound quality - but the key word is capable, from a hardware perspective only. You'll need to use their app for this speaker, which uses only bluetooth LE, while this speaker and all others that they make use only archaic traditional bluetooth. So while your phone might connect to it (and all the notifications your phone gets - you can't make it the primary device), the Marshall app won't. This is a problem in 2 ways: 1 it decimates the sound quality and means you can't adjust anything because you need the app to do that. 2 as many reviewing the app with other speakers of theirs that it did work with (or who have iphones/different devices): the sound quality is dependent on software updates to not nuke anything, and it seems Marshall is incapable of hiring an engineer with even high school level skills. Basically it's like paying for a nice gaming PC, brand new parts, beautiful design, but it comes preinstalled with so much malware it's unusable....but in bluetooth speaker/app form. If this speaker at least had the option of being wired (not ideal but means that you're not dependent on a phone app) or had some basic controls on the back, then I'd honestly keep it despite the cost and lost functionality. It doesn't though, and it's such a disappointment, because I can tell from the design of the physical speaker that this was designed to last....unfortunately some exec clearly wanted an app just to have an app and advertise other Marshall products, without intending on that app working. Because it's relevant: I use a Samsung Galaxy S23 as my phone (so latest model flagship android phone at the time of this purchase), but I have the same issue trying to download the app and troubleshoot from an ipad to see if Marshall simply isn't an option for Android users (still a major design flaw when there's not physical workaround).

It looks great. I’ve got a couple comments on how retro/cool it is. The sound is just “mid” though. I read they use Sony components and dressed it up with Marshall aesthetics. I wish I had researched it beforehand but I was at the beach and had forgotten our superior Boom’s. Holds up great at the beach otherwise but if you want better sound look elsewhere.

My teenager loved it and especially the cream color that went well with her room decor.

I wanted to gift my brother the limited edition speaker. Hence, visited Best Buy to search for that speaker but the sound clarity and pricing of this was unmatched. I found a speaker cheaper than the limited edition but with the same specifications.

Sound is good. A bit clunky on speaker functions. Hard to tell when you turn the unit off as slow to react and lights stay on an extra long time making you think power is not off.

It was a good quality speaker with good build quality and sound but with low bass.

Feels like a quality, well made product. Good, warm-bit-defined sound profile, with a couple pre-set equalizer profiles in the east to use app. Surprisingly good at filling a medium sized room without sounding strained or flat.

I had full faith in the IP67 water-resistant rating, but the moment I sprinkled water to wipe out the dust, one speaker gave out. I didn't even bother returning it because I ordered it online and didn't want to hear any nonsense about how they can't return a damaged online order. Overall, the speaker is amazing, but just don't pour water on it AT ALL like what my stpd @## did
