Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It pains me to give it 3 stars because I love everything about these speakers besides the connectivity issues. The sound is phenomenal and imo way richer than the competitions. The look is stylish and the exterior, even though I bought the cream color and use it outdoors frequently, stays clean and nice looking. The battery life is also pretty good, with a charge lasting a full day or two of use. The reason I docked it 2 stars is because the connectivity issues are infuriating. It drops connection over the smallest things, such as switching apps, and makes it so I have to restart the speaker or it wont connect right (it keeps trying to connect to the speaker but instead just instantly drops the connection and keeps pausing whatever you are watching/listening too). Idk if this is a patch they need to work out or what but it's making me reconsider buying more on the future, despite the upsides.

I tried the usual brands first; Ultimate Ears, Sony, Bose and Sonos. Each sounded average at best. After I returned the Sonos Roam after a very frustrating music test, I decided to list to the Marshall Emberton II....in the store, this speaker sounded phenomenal! I decided to take it home and put it through the paces...lots of music genres...from classical to hard rap, it performed like a champ every time! I would strongly recommend listening to this speaker before you make your final purchase.

Marshall has solved that problem with their stated 30-hour battery life. I’ve surpassed that and more without having to recharge. It fully charges in 3 hours, and you can get 4 hours of use from a 20-minute charge. Included is a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, but no charging block. The speaker has BT 5.1 technology for a stable connection at maximum distance of 30 feet. There’s a “stack mode” to increase the sound experience if you have 2 speakers. The controls are intuitive with a multi-directional control knob and BT connect button. There are no ports for wired connections, or microphone to be able to use it as a speaker phone or for voice commands. There are 2 10-watt speakers and 2 passive radiators. There are no bass or treble controls, but there are preset equalizers in the app. The company is known for their sustainability efforts, and this unit is made from 50% post-consumer materials and is PVC free.

The range could be a bit better so I took a star but might actually be wifi and not speaker issue.
