This is an absolutely great portable speaker. The size and the weight are just perfect for carrying around - with the length being shorter than your hand and light enough that my 3 year old can carry it around and dance with it. There are speakers both in the front and the back, and that multi directional sound can get extremely loud if you want it to. This little guy is deceptive and packs a punch. The fact that this is IPX7 water proof, with USB C charging is just the cherry on top (no flimsy flap on the charging port to keep it water-proof either). USB C everything I say, so I don't have to carry multiple charges for my devices. Now I can charge my phone, my laptop and my portable speaker with the same charge... bliss! There aren't any fancy features, and they don't advertise it as such. But there is beauty in simplicity. I love the fact that there is an always on battery percent bar lighting, that tells you exactly how much battery's left. That is so much better than doing some funky button press magic and waiting for some LED to do a pattern dance to recall what battery level that means. Apart from this battery LED bar, there is a simple knob in the middle that handles all controls - play, pause, forward, rewind, volume. And there is a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button. What else do you need? The first time you turn on the device it automatically goes into Bluetooth pairing mode (nice!) and shows that it has 50% battery left. The pairing was super simple as expected and off you go. I will definitely be taking this little buddy for hikes and my kid will no doubt want to hoard it for themselves.

Honestly it's the loudest, clearest sounding little Bluetooth speaker I've ever heard. Real deal Marshall tech going on here....I expected it to be crushing, being that I play music and I'm well aware of the Marshall brand. But jeez if this isn't the best I've had yet! Had a JBL one that I really thought was great, but next to this, it really isn't close. Quite literally BANG for you buck!
